Big Picture Classes - Paige's Pages 16

Paige's Pages 16 is now available online at Big Picture Classes! The class includes start-to-finish process videos for all four layouts, cut files, helpful tips & tricks, a project gallery, and more!

In the first lesson we learn how to create an easy chevron background. You may recognize this technique from Lesson 1 in Paige’s Pages 04 – we pretty much create the same background but on a smaller scale. You don’t always have to reinvent the wheel! Take one idea and modify it in every way possible – make the chevrons bigger, make them smaller, create five rows, create ten rows, put the papers in rainbow order, put them in a random order – whatever strikes your fancy and whatever inspires you, go for it girl!
In the second lesson we delve into a lot of different techniques that combine together to create something fun: modeling paste with stencils, heat embossing with gold glitter powder, splashing watercolors and acrylic paint, fussy-cutting, tone-on-tone, border punches, and more!
Continuing to lesson three, I’ve tried this next technique once before on a layout but I didn’t film the process so I am excited to share how to combine sequins and hand stitching to create something shiny and unique! I also love big titles and monochromatic pages so this page combines a few of my favorite things.
I made it my goal to only share one layout that requires a Silhouette Cameo in Paige's Pages 16 – it is my most favorite scrapbooking tool but I also have many requests to create pages without it so I’m doing my best! So in the 4th and last lesson I used the Cameo to create layered flowers from lots of patterned papers and placed them into a wreath. I’ve made wreaths in my Paige’s Pages lessons before and I’ve made layered flowers in my Paige’s Pages lessons before, but never exactly like this! Once again I want to reiterate that you don’t always have to think of something new – there are so many ways to use techniques in slightly different combinations. These flowers aren’t the same shape and colors as before and this wreath design isn’t the same. Combined together, they create a whole new layout!
