Love You Layout by Virginia Walker

Hello everyone! Virginia Walker here again with a new layout featuring a few of the super cute and fun envelope cut files by Paige.
I wanted to do something different with the envelopes and not use them traditionally, so I decided to use them basically as an embellishment and to form the basis of a grid style layout. I chose Whimsical Paper 09 as a bright & bold option for my background and this helped to tie it all to the photo of my daughter in a yellow dress on Christmas Day a couple of years ago. I cut the envelopes very small from Paper 11Paper 14, and Paper 21 so that when assembled they were just over 2 inches wide - this would allow me to bring in some of the patterned papers and phrases from the 2x2 Paper Pads. Placing my first envelope in the top center of my grid, then the other 2 envelopes on either side on the bottom.

At that point I decided it would be a really neat idea to focus each section of my grid on a single color. The envelopes helped to dictate which colors would go in those spots and I chose other colors from the Whimsical collection to fill in the rest. Each cluster on my grid design has a mix of embellishments to bring different texture and shades of each color. I fussy cut some frames and images from Paper 13 and added these to some of my clusters. Then I continued to embellish each cluster using pieces from the Whimsical StickersChipboard StickersSticker BookPuffy StickersRub-OnsEnamel ShapesFloral Die Cuts, and the Ephemera Die Cuts. I really made use of all of the different types of embellishments for this layout!

For my title I combined the word Love from the Ephemera Die Cuts in the blue section of my grid and added the word “you” using the blue Mini Thickers from the Pick-Me-Up collection. Thanks for stopping by today!
