Here is a layout I made for fun using Truly Grateful!
A little back story: I've had this tiny sketch sitting on a pile in the corner of my scrap room for months. Finally I felt the urge to make the sketch come to fruition! Can you tell what it's supposed to look like? lol. I just envisioned a layout divided in half, the left side with flowers piled in the center and the right side with flowers around the edges.
I started by trimming the light purple grid B-side of Paper 06 to 6x12" and the purple striped B-side of Paper 23 also to 6x12". While I was trimming I had my Silhouette Cameo 3 cut out the flowers from Paper 15 using a PixScan mat. I have a tutorial for how to use the PixScan feature HERE. Such a time saver! Instead of fussy cutting for hours and hours the Silhouette Cameo 3 cut out all the flowers in just under three minutes.
I found two similar photos of Jane and cropped them to 2x5" using Adobe Photoshop, printed them at home on my Canon Pro-100 printer, and trimmed them out leaving a white border for contrast. I placed the photos in the middle of the papers but didn't adhere them down yet.
On the light purple grid paper I started layering flowers and leaves from the Floral Die Cuts as well as some of the PixScan cut flowers in the middle with the photo on top.
On the purple striped paper I added flowers and leaves from the Floral Die Cuts and the the PixScan cut flowers all around the edges. Once I liked the placement of all the flowers everywhere, I snapped a photo with my phone to refer back to and adhered them all down using liquid glue.
I adhered the photos with foam squares to give them a lift and then adhered a sentiment banner die cut from the Ephemera Die Cuts to the bottom of one photo and the top to the other. And I added a gold heart sticker from the Cardstock Stickers by both banners.
Next I sprinkled a bunch of colorful dots from the Epoxy Stickers around all the flowers on both sides of the layout and wrote journaling with a blue pen on the bottom right corner. To finish up, I adhered the halves onto a white cardstock background and then machine stitched with white thread and a running stitch around the edges of both halves.
I hope this layout inspires you to create a similar design using Truly Grateful!
