Wreath Cards by Elsie Robinson

Hey everyone! It’s Elsie Robinson here and for today’s post, I was inspired to make some shaker cards using the sequins from the Truly Grateful Mixed Embellishments. Some of my personal favourite cut files by Paige are her wreath designs, so I used several of them to frame the shaker elements. Let me walk you through each card!
For the first card, I cut the Circles Wreath cut file from white cardstock. I used a patterned paper from the 6x8 Paper Pad as my card front to contrast with the white cut file. I cut a circular window in the paper and backed that with acetate. I also adhered craft foam behind the paper to create a space between the card front and card base, where I could add the sequins.

With Valentine’s Day next month, I was inspired to use the Heart Wreath cut file which I cut from white cardstock. To back each heart, I offset an inner piece of a heart and multiplied that several times. Using my Silhouette Cameo to cut all of those inner pieces saved me so much time and I love the way the pink and red check pattern (Paper 12) looks behind the hearts.

For the third card I used the Branch Wreath cut file which I cut from kraft cardstock. Like I did for the first card, I once again used the 6x8 Paper Pad. Since the patterns are shrunk down from their 12x12 counterparts, their smaller size means they are perfect for card making. I also used the phrases 2x2 Paper Pad and fussy-cut the ‘celebrate’ to use as the sentiment.

And finally I have my personal favourite, I used the Leaf Wreath cut file which I cut from Paper 19 from Horizon. I followed the same methods as the previous cards but I just love the tree patterned paper behind the window, and the fussy-cut butterflies from the Horizon 6x8 Paper Pad, as well as the large gold foil ‘grateful’ sticker from the Truly Grateful Cardstock Stickers.

Thanks for stopping by everyone! I hope you’re inspired to create some shaker cards of your own using Paige’s cut files!
