Love You to the Moon Layout by Elsie Robinson

Wednesday, March 4, 2020

Hey everyone! It’s Elsie Robinson here sharing my first layout using the stunning new Bloom Street collection! There is so much to love about this collection and I was immediately drawn to the B-side of Paper 02. This pattern reminds me of a pastel celestial sky, which is why I chose to create a layout using it as my background alongside the Love You To The Moon and Star Confetti cut files.
I started by cutting out the moon from white cardstock. I backed the cut file with vellum because I wanted this layout to have a very soft and ethereal look. For extra definition I hand-stitched around the cut file and also hid foam dots behind the letters/stars so it would look as if the moon is floating off of the page.

To help create my sky scene, I wanted to decorate the background with loads of stars in different sizes. The Star Confetti cut file really comes in handy because not only could I use the loose stars on this page, I have a background/stencil ready to use for another layout!

To decorate the layout, I nestled my photo into the curve of the moon and embellished with flowers from the Floral Die Cuts. I also added some of the Layered Butterfly Stickers and hummingbirds from the Ephemera Die Cuts to create a super whimsical look. I used the text in the moon as my title and finished the phrase by adding ‘and back’ using the small alphas in the 4-Page Sticker Book.

Thanks for stopping by! I can’t wait to see what you’ll all create with Bloom Street and Paige’s cut files!
