Gone Exploring Layout

I made this layout a couple years ago for Studio Calico and just found it as I was going through Fox's scrapbooks in preparation for making lots of layouts for him!

On the background I splashed black watercolors to give it some interest and break up the geometric design. Then I used a few different sized star punches and made a bunch of stars from patterned papers. I layered several concentric sized stars together and stapled through the layers. I placed all the stars in an "X" pattern across the page.

I also punched stars from vellum and adhered those around the patterned paper stars to continue with the star theme. Two photos flank the center cross section and then I embellished with bits & pieces from the kit I was sent like chipboard, sequins, sentiment stickers, and wood veneer.
