Happy Birthday Layout by Neftali Zambrano

Hello crafty friends, it is Neftali Zambrano here today with you for my very first blog post as a Paige Evans + Silhouette Design Team member! I am so excited to share some craftiness with you all using some of the newest supplies I got from the Paige's Memory Explosion Box Recollections collection found at Michaels Stores. I love all the pastel colors and the birthday themed bits, so for this project I used a photo of my daughter on her first birthday using these supplies along with Paige's Happy Birthday cut file.

I started off by creating a colorful watercolor background using metallic watercolors on white cardstock. The soft colors of the watercolors helped create a pastel background that matched perfectly with the supplies I had in hand. I also used the watercolors to add some fun colorful splatters. These look beautiful with their iridescent shine, once all dry. I backed the Happy Birthday cut file using the 6x6 paper pads (6x6" Paper Pad // Double Sided 6x6" Paper Pad // Foil 6x6" Paper Pad // Glitter 6x6" Paper Pad) from the Memory Explosion Box collection and I used dimensional adhesive to stick it down on my watercolor base. I wanted to keep the "party" theme going, so I used a gorgeous circle punch stitched lanyard from the Decorative Trim Assortment to add as pennants above the cut file and photo. The image was layered on purple glitter paper and a super cute mini Holographic Paper Doily.

The embellishing details were the enamel dots from the Embellishment Mix, heart stickers around the cut file, and lots of stickers and layers above and around the cut file. Finally, I added some color by using the Go the Scenic Route Paper 13 to the top and bottom of my page using the tearing distress technique. This helped fill in some of the whites pace and add fun pops of color!

And that's it for this layout! This Happy Birthday cut file works perfect with these beautiful birthday-themed supplies! I hope that you are feeling inspired to get crafty with Paige's cut files and collections!
