Lemonade Stand Layout by Ashley Neu

Hi friends! Ashley Neu back for the Paige Evans Cut File Design Team! I used the Lemonade Stand Cut File along with Paige’s Splendid collection! The cut file was perfect for a photo I took of a lemonade stand that my girls had put together this past summer.

I started out by backing the Lemonade Stand Cut File with corrugated cardstock that I had in my stash. I thought it would be a fun way to incorporate some texture. I was looking for woodgrain cardstock but when I came across the corrugated cardstock, I just had to use it! I used the 6x8 Paper Pad to back the rest of the cut file. To help bring more interest to the words on the cut file, I used a variety of the Pops of Color from Scrapbook.com. I used similar colors to match the colors from the collection. I finished off the title by using the mini foam Thickers and put them on in a whimsical fashion. I felt this gave off a “handmade by a kid” vibe! The design plan from the beginning was to create a scene. I decided to change it up from scene layouts that I have created in the past and made the scene on a large circle. I used my die cutting machine to cut out a large circle from Paper 20. I punched a grass border onto Paper 10, adhered it onto the circle, and cut off the extra grass around the circle. I adhered this circle onto white cardstock and roughed and curled up the edges of the circle. Next, I hand cut white clouds and after adhering them to the layout, I did the same thing with the edges of the clouds by roughing them up. Finally, I embellished the layout! I added florals from the Chipboard Stickers and Cardstock Stickers around the lemonade stand as well as my photo. I also added more items next to the lemonade pitcher and glasses. The extra lemons, cake slice, and teapot are from the 8-Page Sticker Book and seemed to finish off that area nicely! The little birdie on top of the banner waiting for its chance to sneak a piece of that cake is from the Chipboard Stickers. The very last thing I did was add backstitching all the way around the layout using white embroidery floss.

I hope you have found this layout to be inspiring and try out a scene layout! They are so much fun to make. Paige’s collections make it super simple to add all of the little pieces necessary to finish off a scene! Thank you for stopping by the blog today and have a wonderful day!
