Hello crafty friends! Amber Mitchell here on Paige's blog today to share with you another layout using the beauti-FALL Bungalow Lane collection! After making my first ever layout a few weeks back, and realizing it's not so scary, I decided to try my hand at making another one. This time around, I used some tags to make a large cluster.

To create the background for this layout, I first took four separate patterned papers from the 12x12 Paper Pad and tore the ends of them off to create texture. Then I layered these one on top of the next, with each segment getting smaller and smaller. The statement piece of this layout are the tags, so I tried to add as much to them as I could without over-embellishing the page. First, I hand-stitched along the edges of all of the tags with embroidery thread in coordinating colors. Hand stitching is becoming a favorite element of mine to add to projects and I love the extra flair it brings to this layout. Behind the tags, I added a speckling of white acrylic paint to make things pop a bit more. I then staggered the tags across the page and added a few embellishments to each one in matching colors.

I pulled embellishments from the Epoxy StickersEmbossed Puffy StickersChipboard StickersBird Paper Clips, and the Stitched Leaves. I added a sweet photo of my brother and my nephew from our 2019 Pumpkin Farm trip. I added this photo to the bottom of the pink tag and framed it using a polaroid frame from the Ephemera Die Cuts. I then added a sentiment from the 8-Page Sticker Book on top that reads "Sweet Memories". I also added a "grateful" title using a wooden piece from my stash. To dress this layout up and to frame the photo even further, I added large flower clusters to either side of it. I used pieces from the Floral Die Cuts and a piece from the Layered Stickers to do this, along with a mix of other embellishments like leaves and butterflies. To finish I machine stitched along all of the edges.

I had so much fun making this layout and experimenting with more techniques! Thanks so much for stopping by my post today. I'll see you next time with another fun project!

  1. Amber, it's adorable! I love the pops of color! You are making me want to try hand-sewing to add to my pieces! And, that kit is so cute!
