Family Tree Layout by Ashley Neu

Hi scrappy friends! Ashley Neu back for the Paige Evans Cut File design team! For today’s layout, I have used the Truly Grateful collection and Paige’s Family Tree cut file which you can purchase in the 20 Days of Friends & Family cut files bundle! The photo I’m scrapbooking is one of my all-time favorites of our family. It was taken at a family wedding last year and I just can’t get enough of it! I will probably be scrapping it at least one more time.

I first cut the Family Tree cut file from white cardstock. I backed the trunk of the tree using Paper 15. For the hearts, I used the awesome Paper 14 that has small squares of the patterned papers in the collection. I created fringe pieces to back each heart that added the perfect texture!

Next, I used a combination of the epoxy stickers and Mini Foam Thickers to create the perfect title. I love the combination of fonts like script and block letters - it creates such a whimsical look! I also used a white gel pen to sketch a border around the layout.

Finally, I embellished the layout with the Cardstock Stickers, Puffy Stickers, and the little dots from the epoxy stickers. I put leaves and acorns on the tree and a couple of the phrases around the tree. It all helps tie in the theme of a beautiful family photo!

Wonderful Layout by Paige Evans

 Hi friends! Here is a new layout I made with Wonders which features the repeating "wonderful" B-side of Paper 19!

I started by fussy cutting out all of the individual "wonderful" letters from Paper 19. It took about two hours? I did it over several days and didn't really keep track, but it helped that I made all the corners straight instead of the slight rounded corners that they have. Simplify!

Once all of the letters were cut out, I grabbed a sheet of textured white cardstock and adhered all of the letters in place using foam squares for dimension AND I mixed them up instead of putting them all together in the same colorways. I just eyeballed the placement of the letters so they're a little crooked and wonky and I like that :) I also eliminated the red "wonderful" letters to give the layout more space between the words.

Time for photos and embellishing! I printed two 3" square photos, trimmed them out leaving a white border, and place them on that layout, diagonal from each other and leaving an uncovered "wonderful" across the center.

To embellish, I tucked flower border Chipboard Stickers under the pics, added flower Cardstock Stickers to the corners, and trimmed a blue journaling spot from the Ephemera Die Cuts in half to go under both photos. I journaled on one and wrote the date on the other. There are also two heart Chipboard Stickers, "today" and "together" Cardstock Stickers, and a gold heart Puffy Sticker. That's about it!

Rainbow Page by Krystal Idunate

Hello friends! Krystal Idunate here today sharing a new spread I created using Paige’s Sunrise Sunset cut file along with her Wonders collection. I really loved the look of this background and thought it could be a super cool base to tell an affirmation based story for my son. I decided to fussy cut out a photo of my son and place it at the bottom of this 6x8 spread.

With this awesome background, I knew right away that I wanted to cut it out with textured white cardstock and then to back it in a rainbow of colors. Prior to making my cut, I did slightly adjust the sizing so I could fit in into my son’s 6x8 story album.

With the Sunrise Sunset cut file cut out, I was ready to get all that color filled in. I decided that I wanted to fill in the background in a general rainbow order. Looking through the Wonders paper collection, I found most of the patterns in the 6x8 Paper Pad. However, I also used a large portion of Paper 2. I started with the pinks (in lieu of reds) on the left side of the file, moving through the rest of the hues of the rainbow as I progressed to the right side. Next, I needed to add my title. I was so happy that the Thickers had the word “YOU” all in the same color, as well as the word “ARE”. It was like it was meant to be! I chose a long phrase sticker from the 6x12 Cardstock Stickers, added that at the base of the spread, and then placed the foam Thickers on top of that. I really love how big and bold the title is. It totally pops off the page.

To finish off this project, I added three of the die cut butterflies from the Floral Die Cuts. I decided to color match them, so I added the pink butterfly next to the pink strips of color, the yellow by the yellow, and the blue by the blue. Finally, I grabbed a journaling pen and went to town writing descriptive words about my son in the rays. I am completely obsessed with this spread. I love the bright, vibrant nature of the layout in general, but I also love the message for my son. And let’s be honest… that photo is just the best! Mom Flower Heart Layout by Marinette M'Boussi

 Hello everyone! Marinette M'Boussi here today to share with you a new layout for Paige’s Cut File Design Team. For this project I am using Paige's Mom Flower Heart cut file from the exclusive 20 Days of Family & Friends Cut Files and the beautiful Go the Scenic Route collection. 

I started by cutting the Mom Flower Heart cut file on white cardstock with my Silhouette Cameo. Then I backed it with different papers from the collection, especially Paper 15 for the letters to have the beautiful birds showing. I used a lot of different bright colors. And I chose Paper 13 and Paper 24 to back the picture. For the background I took a second sheet of white cardstock and put gesso on it. Then I used some Distress Oxides to make a colorful background. After that I took Paper 17 and fussy cut the little tickets to create a fun title.

It was a pleasure to use this Mom Flower Heart cut file and make a layout with a picture of my favourite people. Thank you for stopping by, I hope this will inspire you for your next layout!

Wonders Cards by Zsoka Marko

Hi there friends, Zsoka Marko stopping by today to share a card duo I've created for the Paige Evans Design Team! I've used the gorgeous Wonders collection on these.

I change my mind a lot. Like, ALL.THE.TIME. This started out as a layout - with the same design, only the triangles were bigger. I wanted to create a grid layout with them and use maybe (4) 2x2 photos as well. Maybe that's an idea you can use? I didn't, because I liked the triangles on a white background the most and I am no white background scrapper. Looking at it, it was just not me. Had I had super light gray cardstock, or even better, patterned paper (there was one in one of Paige's older collections, but I don't have it anymore), I would have gone with that. So, what's a girl to do with all the cut-up paper pieces? Use them on cards of course!

I started out by cutting apart the paper with all the 2x2" squares on it, Paper 20, then I cut all of them in half. I didn't use all of them on these cards, I chose the more solid ones and those that didn't have a white background. For the card on the left, I cut this triangle in half again, for the card on the right I cut the smaller triangle in half once more.

I cut two slimline card panels (3.5x8.5") from Neenah Solar White 110lb cardstock and started adding the triangles on them in a rainbow kind of order to see if they would even fit this size. And they did! Once I figured out the arrangements, I started gluing them down. I was planning to stitch them down in the middle and wanted to be able to curl them up too, so I only added a teeny tiny bit of liquid adhesive in the middle. When the panels were done, I added zig zag machine stitching. I then created two side folding card bases and glued my panels on top.

Now comes the fun part! Creating dimension! I just used my fingers to curl up each triangle. I actually really liked the look where I only did the top triangles of each square but then I wanted to see what it would look like if I did all of them... And then there was no turning back :D

Both sentiments are from the 2x2 Paper Pads. I just cut out the part I needed. I think one said "It's Time to Celebrate", the other had some icon right above it, as far as I remember. I went tone-on-tone with these, well kind of. The green sentiment sits on a green and a blue square, the purple is placed between blue and purple squares.

To finish off the cards, I added a few gold heart Puffy Stickers and some gold paint splatters.

Family Walk Layout by Paige Evans

 Hi everyone! Here is a layout I taught how to make LIVE in my Happy Scrappy Place Facebook Group for International Scrapbook Day using Wonders!

I started by cutting (9) frames - 8 of them are from Paper 24 and the green one is from Paper 8. Paper 24 is a 3x4" cut-apart paper so I cut all the cards apart and then trimmed them down to 3 x 3 3/4". To turn the papers into frames I put one paper in my trimmer horizontally (so starting my first cut at what will be the top), aligned the right edge to 1/4", put my trimmer about 1/4" down, and then trimmed down to the 2 3/4" mark. I rotated the paper counter-clockwise, aligned the right edge to 1/4", started 1/4" down, then trimmed down to the 2 3/4" mark. Rotate the paper counter-clockwise, align the right edge to 1", start 1/4" down, then trim down to the 2 3/4" mark. For the last cut, rotate the paper counter-clockwise, align the right edge to 1/4", start 1" down, then trim down to the 3 1/2" mark. One frame down, 8 to go! :)

Once I had all 9 paper frames trimmed, I grabbed a piece of textured white cardstock and arranged the frames in a 3x3 grid, alternating the orientation of the frames, and adhered them with foam squares for dimension. I printed (4) 2 1/2" photos and placed them under 4 of the frames. In the center frame I used the colorful alpha stickers from the 8-Page Sticker Book to say "family" and the Thickers to say "WALK" along with a piece of scalloped Washi Tape above. I added a "saturday" Cardstock Sticker below along with a gold heart Puffy Sticker.

I tucked a journaling card (with the bottom trimmed off to fit inside the frame) from the Ephemera Die Cuts into the top left frame and wrote journaling with a blue pen. I added a purple "grateful" Banner Sticker to the top and another gold heart Puffy Sticker. To the left of the frame I used a trio of hearts from the Acrylic Stamps and Lagoon ink from Altenew to stamp an accent (I also stamped another trio next to the bottom right frame using Moss ink).

From there it was just a continuation of adding embellishments from Wonders! I used Epoxy Phrase Stickers, 6x12 Cardstock Stickers, Chipboard Stickers, Puffy Stickers, the 8-Page Sticker Book, Banner Stickers, Floral Die Cuts, and Ephemera Die Cuts.

Good Book Pocket Spread by Amy Jo Vanden Brink

Hello everyone! Amy Jo Vanden Brink here and I'm delighted to be back on the blog today sharing a layout of one of my favourite hobbies: reading! I have read a lot in the last month (some of it sitting outside in the fresh spring air!) and I love to occasionally document what I've been reading.

For this page I used the Stack of Books cut file and took off the top three books and the apple, then slipped it inside the 4x6 pocket on the left. I added some Washi Tape to the top of the page behind it so that it just peeks through the clear part at the top of the pocket. I love it when my albums feel interactive like this! I used several papers from the Go the Scenic Route 6x8 Paper Pad to back each of the books and then used the Epoxy Phrase Stickers to add some titles. I didn't add titles to every book, just a few. I added a Chipboard Sticker heart to my books as well. If you are wanting to make a layout similar to this, I just did a quick image search for the book covers, but I could have taken a screenshot on my e-reader as well (an easy way to replicate it!).

Hello Spring Stitched Card by Neftali Zambrano

Hi friends! Neftali Zambrano here and welcome back to another crafty blog post sharing how I made a hand-stitched card that also includes some fun stamping. Have you ever used hand stitching in your paper crafting? Paige has been a huge inspiration for me to do hand stitching in my paper projects and she has some awesome tutorials on her YouTube channel that I used to find some fun new stitches to try on this project.

For this project I am using one of the cut files from the 20 Days of Spring Cut Files called Hello Spring Title. This cut file is super fun because it also comes with a stitching option. I decided to showcase the stitching option and I cut it into a little under 6x6 inches. I planned to create a stitched card.

Before I started, I wanted to add some fun color to my white cardstock base, so I used the Wonders Acrylic Stamps to add some flower stamping. I used four of the small flower stamps that are in the set in fun pastel stamping all over my 6x6 page. I also added some embossing powder over the stamping and used my heat tool to finish it off. Once the stamping was done, I added my stitching to the cut file. I used three pastel threads in the colors pink, yellow, and teal. I was able to complete the stitching in one afternoon and I personally find it very relaxing - I love to watch it come together. The finished stitching gave a beautiful spring feel to my card. The final step was to add the finished stitched page to a 6x6 card base. This card came together very easily and I love the finished result!

I had so much fun creating this card. The floral stamps and the pastel thread stitching really do give it all the springtime feels. See you next time, crafty friends!

Folded Square with Wonders Mini Album by Amber Mitchell

  Hello crafty friends, Amber Mitchell here on Paige’s blog today to share with you a fun and interactive mini album I created using the Wonders collection and the Folded Square Mini Album cut file!

I’ve had my eye on this Folded Square Mini Album cut file for a while now - it’s just so fun! I’m also a huge fan of how it can double as a cute display item.

To create this mini, I first resized the Folded Square Mini Album cut file to about 6x6 inches so that my pages would roughly measure 3 inches in size. I then cut my five pages from the following papers from Wonders: Paper 2, Paper 5, Paper 13, Paper 14, and Paper 16.

Next, I assembled the album as instructed and began the embellishing process. I created some 2x2 inch photo mats from white cardstock and distressed the edges of them using my scissors. I also added machine stitching to the edges for extra added texture.

The larger flowers from the Floral Die Cuts added a fun touch to this mini as they make for perfect statement pieces. I also love how they peek out when the album is closed. To fill up some of the empty spaces in the album, I added some sentiments and journaling spaces by using pieces from the Ephemera Die Cuts. On the cover I added some of the Floral Die Cuts as well as a sticker from the Banner Stickers to act as the title of the album.

For added texture and dimension, I used the Thickers to add a “smile” sentiment and used some of the Chipboard Stickers throughout the album as well. A few stickers from the 8-Page Sticker Book and a few fussy cut butterflies from the 6x8 Paper Pad were the perfect final touches to this album. To keep the album open for display, I added a small miniature clothespin that I clipped to one of the pages. And for a bit of extra fun, I added tassels and charms from my stash.
