Altenew 6th Anniversary Blog Hop Day 4 + Giveaway

Hey there! Paige Evans here helping Altenew celebrate their 6th anniversary with a new layout!

About this layout: I made a floral frame with my favorite metal dies: Peony Dream, Rose Flurries, Fantasy Floral, and Spring Shower. I also used the Fine Alphabet dies for the title. I grabbed my pile of cardstock and chose monochromatic colors for each flower and then used teals and greens for the leaves.

I used liquid glue to attach all the flower and leaf layers together and then placed them around the edges of a smooth white cardstock base in a loose frame. Once I was happy with the arrangement, I took a photo with my phone in case they got moved around and then used foam squares to attach the bits in place.

I cut a couple of the Spring Shower panels from smooth white cardstock and adhered the teeny tiny white flowers in the empty gaps for a fun texture, tone-on-tone look.

I cropped a recent family photo into a square, printed and trimmed it down leaving a white border, then adhered it in the center of the page. I die cut the "FAMILY" title from white cardstock and tucked the letters under the flowers at the top.

To finish, I wrote journaling with a light blue pen below the photo to balance the title. All in all I think this layout took about 5 hours to create - once all of the flowers were made it came together quickly after that, just have to put in some legwork at the beginning and then the results are well worth it!
