Hi crafty friends! It’s Valerie Bisson here sharing the layout I created for International Scrapbook Day 2025 in Paige's Happy Scrappy Place Facebook Group! My challenge was to choose one of Paige’s Cut Files and use 5 or more patterned papers. My layout features Paige's Geometric Cat Cut File and her Bungalow Lane, Adventurous, and Pick-Me-Up collections.
To begin I cut the Geometric Cat from white cardstock. This cut file went perfect for the vintage & quilty vibe I was looking to create. Then I chose 10 patterned papers from Bungalow Lane and 2 from Adventurous to back the cut file. For the background, I layered up two pieces of cardstock and Paper 19 from Bungalow Lane, then did a round of hand stitching in light pink to enhance the framing. Next I placed the cut file central on the page and my 3 photos around it. For embellishments I made whimsical patterned paper cats using a Tim Holtz die set with Sizzix. I added punched out scalloped circles to layer underneath my cat embellishments. Following this I splattered white acrylic paint next to each of my photos. Embellishing includes Washi Tape from Adventurous and pieces from Bungalow Lane as well as Pick-Me-Up. Lastly, I made photo corners with the WeR Makers Photo Corner Punch which helps to finish off each cluster. Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you're inspired to choose one of Paige’s Cut Files and use 5 or more patterned papers on a new layout!
