On August 2nd & 3rd 2025 Andrea Lake and I taught our 7th in-person event together called Lovely Lake Weekend here in Thornton, Colorado to 90 in-person attendees and about 40 virtual scrappers! It's been a week since the event wrapped up and I love looking back and remembering all the fun we had!
You can still get virtual access to all the classes and content HERE.
The Friday evening before the event we hosted a free Make'n'Take & Meet'n'Greet at The Tilted Brick in Longmont.
This sign greeted us on the door!
I honestly had no idea what to expect as far as how many people would show up. I made 100 kits and hoped I wouldn't run out or that I wouldn't have 99 left :)
Imagine my surprise when we arrived and all the tables were full of scrappers and then a line quickly formed out the door! WOOHOO!
Chris came along and helped me set up all the materials. He's actually the one who cut all the squares from the Happy Haven Cardmaking Kit, sorted the individual die cuts, and cut the ric rac. He's such a lifesaver for me in more ways than one.
For the full two hours people came in, grabbed the make'n'take materials, and either made the square squash mini album right then and there or took it home to construct later - a take'n'make if you will.
Time flies when you're having fun!
Most of the attendees were also Lovely Lane participants, but several also came just for the make'n'take.
Hi gal pals! Thanks for coming!
Sandra (the owner of The Tilted Brick and such a delightful person!) says it was her most successful sales day ever. Mission accomplished!!!
I'm hoping to be back to teach an in-person workshop in November at The Tilted Brick with my Christmas collection with Pinkfresh Studio - stay tuned for details!

After we wrapped up the make'n'take we drove to the hotel to set up for Lovely Lane Weekend!
However when we walked into the event space everything was already set up by Lindsay & helpers! She's also such a lifesaver - we couldn't do these events without her.
The giveaway table. Aren't those tablecloths adorable?! Andrea brought them and I just placed an order for some because I need them at my other events too.
We set up our shop tables - thank you Tasha & Leslie for all your help!
We also set up tables with examples of our scrapbooks and mini albums.
SO grateful for all the help getting this ginormous event space set up and ready to go.
Squeeeee!!! So happy & excited!
Around 9:30pm we were finished figuring out the virtual aspect and felt good and ready to go.
We drove home and went right to sleep. It felt like Christmas Eve with the anticipation of the next day!

The next morning I drove back up to Thornton and we made the final preparations. At 9am on the dot we opened the doors!
We had about 40 virtual participants and it was fun to see their scrapping space set up for the event.
Becki Adams helped check everyone in.
Cute name tags.
Leti and Kara shopping.

At 10am we welcomed everyone to Lovely Lane Weekend!
My first class was a handmade mini album.
Technology is so amazing. Until it isn't lol. Luckily everything went well both days and for all 4 classes!
Preserva Criativa from Brazil sent this organizer to me and it was absolutely perfect for keeping all my tools in one place instead of scattered all over my table. THANK YOU Ariana!
Hard at work!
Lunch break.
My second class was 5 Lovely Lane Layouts.
I loved walking around and chatting with everyone and seeing how they made tweaks and changes to turn the pages into their own.
Throughout the day we'd pop under the photo balloon arch made by Valorie and snap pics!
Twirl twirl twirl :)
Lari Batista came all the way from Brazil and so generously gave a little goodie bag to everyone.
At one point I checked a message request in my DMs and it was Lari's dad lol.
What do you think, should I fly to Brazil and finally teach a class in-person there!?!?!?
We gave away amazing SWAG throughout the day: a goodie bag from Lindsay's Layouts, a custom acrylic from Color Cast Designs, a MemoryDex tray from Sache, an organizer from Scrapbook & Cards Today, and in the evening Rachel hosted another make'n'take. THANK YOU FRIENDS!!!
SUCH A FUN FIRST DAY!!!

The second day was Andrea's turn for teaching!
During Andrea's layouts class I sat in the back and filled the tiny micro sequin album that Gi DeMello handmade for everyone.
It's sooooo cute! Anything miniature is adorable :) I will take photos and do a flip through soon!
Andrea's mom came out to help again this year, she's so sweet & kind.
After lunch Andrea taught her 4x4 mini album class.
This Lovely Lane participant got all the layouts done and then some! Way to go!
Lovely Lane Weekend was amazing from beginning to end and every moment between!
Thank you to each and every one of you for coming from near and far and for participating in these events - we literally couldn't do them without you so thank you thank you thank you!!
