Hello crafty friends! Antonia Sherlock here and today I’m sharing another layout I created using Paige's Lovely Lane collection with Pinkfresh Studio - this time I went for the full 12x12 page!
I was inspired by a quilting pattern I saw on social media and I wanted to replicate it for my layout. I cut the heart shapes out from 4½" cardstock squares, trimming down three of the corners, and I used ¾" wide paper strips from the 6x8 Paper Pad to create the patchwork design. The paper pad with its scaled down patterns were perfect for this purpose! I used a running stitch to stitch around each rectangle - this added texture & dimension and helped to achieve that quilted look. I stuck with pinks, purples, and whites mostly - not a true monochromatic layout, but harmonising colors. Those deep, rich purple hues in this beautiful collection have definitely grown on me and now I seem to be using them on every layout! I wanted the paper pieced hearts to be the focal point of this layout so I only added a few embellishments: a Layered Sticker as the title, a couple of Cardstock Stickers, and Puffy Stickers. I completed the page with a few heart Enamel Dots. I hope you find my layout inspiring and thanks so much for stopping by!

I absolutely love this layout! I thought it was created with tags and the label strips cut off on the 12 x 12 …but it’s beautiful and I will make it BUT I have a very limited amount of Lovely Lane that’s I’m saving to use in the matching mini album … and want to use maybe Paige’s blooming collection Do you have any suggestions for selecting the patterns? U mentioned sticking to 3 colors so I’ll try that but did you have a method like each heart used the same floral pattern and cut 1-square and then 3 strips to go on the other one—- then do the same rotation with the next pattern? I hope this makes sense. PAIGE —- I need a Monday class on copying a design using a different collection!!
