Hello friends! Sophie Delorme here sharing my new layout created with the Lovely Lane collection! I decided to feature Paige's Pumpkins cut file as my main design element, which would perfectly complement my gorgeous pumpkin field photograph.
Once I had the Pumpkins cut out, I selected several coordinating patterned papers from the Lovely Lane collection to back both pumpkins, creating a beautiful patchwork effect that adds so much visual interest and dimension to the design. The next step was one of my favorites - adding hand stitched details. I chose embroidery floss in colors that matched each patterned paper section and I hand stitched along the edges of every segment of both pumpkins. This technique really brings the layout to life and adds that special handmade touch and texture that I love. To complete the layout, I embellished the page with an assortment of flowers and leaves from the Floral Die Cuts. I arranged them thoughtfully around my pumpkins and photo to frame the focal points and add softness to contrast with the geometric pumpkin shapes. My title "Smiles & Sunshine" is from the Rub-Ons. Although Lovely Lane isn't a fall-themed collection, it was still perfect to document this precious memory! I hope that you like my page and that it gives you new ideas to try!
