Hey friends! Welcome back to Paige’s blog! Inessa Persekian here and I’m so excited to share a fun (and just a little spooky!) Halloween layout featuring Paige’s Tricks & Treats collection plus her adorable Doily Pumpkin Cut File.
For this page I started with a white 12x12 textured cardstock base and backed the Doily Pumpkin using Paper 12. Because I didn’t have any full-size background papers left from the collection, I improvised using Distress Oxide inks and a few stencils from my stash to create a colorful background around the pumpkin. Once the background was complete, I popped up the pumpkin for a bit of dimension and added in a 3x4 photo matted on Paper 8. To bring in some playful movement, I built a banner across the top using scraps from Paper 1, Paper 3, and Paper 8, along with the banner from the Foam Stickers. My title, “Bootiful,” comes from the Puffy Phrase Stickers, and I continued the Halloween theme with the cutest ghost and hand stitching - created using the Embroidery Kit. A few more Foam Stickers, Enamel Dots, and a sprinkle of Puffy Stickers off the page with just the right touch of sparkle. This layout is such a fun way to highlight a detailed cut file without having to back it piece by piece and I hope it inspires you to try the same technique on your next project! Have a great day!
