Sunday was a long day of driving. I entertained myself by editing stuff for work and reading Twilight out loud to anyone who was interested. We arrived in Leavenworth around dinnertime and ate some delicious pizza.
What I love most about Leavenworth is that they turn regular places you eat at every day into "Bavarian" tourist traps - like this Cold Stone for example.
We drove to the cabin and stayed the night. On Monday we went over to our friend's cabin and I laid out on their dock. It was a beautiful day in Lake Wenatchee, WA.On the way home, we drove up the road a few miles to see the White River Falls. I can see why they named it that.
I wonder if there used to be a huge tree right in the middle of all these trees because they made almost a perfect circle.
I recently started watching Twin Peaks and apparently Laura Palmer's house is in Monroe - a city we pass through on the way home. So of course I had to stop and take a picture.
Tomorrow is Twilight Tuesday. I'm taking my sister and husband to Forks. Google Maps says it will take 4 hours to get there - including a half hour ferry ride. It looks like tomorrow will be a beautiful and sunny day, although I'm secretly hoping the clouds roll in so I'll have a better chance at seeing Edward...
