Today I'm sharing the fourth of nine layouts we learned how to make on the Caribbean Cruise & Crop using the Poppy & Pear collection by Bea Valint! I have a class PDF available for purchase HERE which includes the links to supplies and step-by-step written instructions.
For this page I challenged myself to make a layout for my son Fox by using a limited color palette: blues, yellows, greens, and mints! I made a frame of paper tags then embellished with bits and pieces in those same colors. There are quite a few school-themed stickers and ephemera throughout Poppy & Pear, perfect for Fox's official 7th grade photo! Summer Phrases Layout by Inessa Persekian

Hello scrappy friends! It’s Inessa Persekian back on the blog today! I love summer and all of the fun activities it allows for here in the midwest. I used the Summer Phrases cut file by Paige to create a large title/backdrop for a photo of my son and his friends celebrating the start of summer break. I mainly worked with the Bloom Street Digital Collection and some sequins for added bling.
I chose to work with one patterned paper per line (for the most part) to keep things clean and easy to read. I used papers 6, 12, 19, and 24. The cut file and photo are both adhered with foam tape for dimension and I stitched around the sun ephemera with a silvery/gold embroidery thread. I added tags, bees, and sequins for more visual interest!

Love This Day Layout by Paige Evans

This is the third of nine layouts we learned how to make on the Caribbean Cruise & Crop using the Poppy & Pear collection by Bea Valint! I do have a class PDF available for purchase HERE which includes the links to supplies, the LOVE THIS FOR STITCHING cut file/template and step-by-step written instructions.
For this page I hand stitched around the large LOVE THIS DAY! letters using white thread. Tone-on-tone thread would also look amazing. I replaced the "O" with a 3x4" photo and embellished with lots of gold foil flower die cuts & transparency stickers along with mini hearts spread around the page. Snorkeling Set Layout by Heidi Lewis

Hello friends, it's Heidi Lewis here today. Summer is already off to a great start! I took a trip to Bear Lake at the beginning of this month and snapped this cute picture of my nieces wearing snorkel goggles at the beach. Paige has the perfect cut file to document the occasion: the Snorkeling Set from the 20 Summer Cut Files!
To make the background, I ink-blended starfish onto smooth white cardstock using a stencil from my stash. Next I cut out the Snorkeling Set from white cardstock and turned the goggles into a sequin shaker. I only backed part of the goggles with Paper 13 from Blooming Wild so that the pictures would still be visible through the cut file. I backed the fins with Paper 6 and I left the mouthpiece plain because I didn't want to cover up my ink blending. I wanted the Snorkeling Set to be the star of the page so I kept the embellishments simple: a Puffy Phrase title, a few Cardstock Stickers, and some enamel dots. Hope you feel inspired to do some summer scrapping!

This layout features a cute & quaint shelf scene! Sometimes there are rather random icons in collections which actually fit perfectly atop shelves. Popsicles Layout by Danielle Miller

Hi friends! Danielle Miller here today sharing a layout with Paige's Popsicles cut file and her Splendid collection.
I sized the Popsicles down a little bit to use them as ephemera pieces more than the focal image and cut them from white cardstock. When looking at this cute picture of my girl, I knew I wanted to use the Splendid collection. I added two torn patterned paper blocks at the top. The Popsicles were backed with papers from the 6x8 Paper Pad. I then embellished with the Floral Die Cuts, Epoxy Stickers, and Cardstock Stickers. I hope this layout brings you some crafty inspiration!

Splash Zone Layout by Audrey Mutschall

Hello friends! Audrey Mutschall here with a new layout featuring Paige’s Splash Zone from the 24 Summer Cut Files and the lovely Blooming Wild collection!
I started by cutting the Splash Zone from white cardstock and backing the water droplets with various patterned papers from the 12x12 Paper Pad. I adhered some of them directly to the cut file and used foam adhesive to pop some of them above and beneath the cut file for maximum dimension. I cut the word “Splash” from watercolor Paper 18 and also adhered it above the cut file. The word “zone” is backed with shiny, silver metallic cardstock. My background is very simple allowing the design to be the focal point. I lightly inked white cardstock with a pale mint color and then sprayed water to allow the ink to oxidize in a few places. I matted my photos with plaid Paper 24 and arranged them above the cut file, embellishing with some sentiments from the 6x8 Paper Pad and a Puffy Phrase Sticker. Lastly, I embellished with a few sequins, puffy hearts from the Puffy Phrase Stickers, and flowers from the Mini Flower Puffy Stickers. Great Ride Layout by Ashley Neu

Hello everyone! It’s Ashley Neu here for the Paige Evans Cut File Design Team to share my next layout featuring the Bicycle cut file and the Blooming Wild collection. I am really excited about this layout because it features the Project Pad which is full of so many exclusive goodies!
I cut the Bicycle from white cardstock and backed it with patterned papers from the 6x8 Paper Pad. The frame of the bicycle is backed with a floral paper found in the Project Pad. This patterned paper features 4 different patterns. Instead of backing the florals in the bicycle basket, I simply used some floral pieces found in the Floral Die Cuts as well as the Sticker Book. I also adhered two heart Chipboard Stickers to the bicycle wheels to give it a fun look! Another great patterned paper in the Project Pad is full of lovely scallops. When I first saw it, I immediately thought of an outdoor scene with green grass and a blue, purple and yellow sky! I started by cutting apart the scallops and arranging them on a piece of white cardstock to resemble that outdoor scene that I was striving for. I tucked the bicycle slightly underneath the green scalloped piece with foam adhesive and added my photos around it. Lastly, to embellish the layout, I added in Mini Flower Puffy Stickers into the grass scallops. Isn’t that so darling?! I also added in a rainbow from the Chipboard Stickers and a sentiment circle found in the Sticker Book. Finally, I created my title using the Thickers and the word “great” from the Chipboard Stickers. I love mixing different fonts and textures to create an interesting title. I never thought I'd use fairies on my projects but these ones are just soooo fun and add to the cuteness!
I plan to fill up this TN with pics from a travel day/adventure! TBD!

An elastic closure with various ribbons tied around it holds the album closed for storage and safekeeping.

Summer Phrases Layout by Yui Oku

Hello scrappy friends! It’s Yui Oku here sharing a new layout using Paige's Splendid collection and her Summer Phrases from the 20 Summer Cut Files!
First, I was wondering if I should change the color for each letter, or for each word. But I found Paper 13 which has nine colorful stripes and this cut file also has nine lines! Even without traditional backing, just putting the cut file on top of the paper made it look really cute. I looked for small embellishments that matched the size of the letters. I fussy cut images from Splendid patterned papers, added Chipboard Stickers, pieces from the 8-Page Sticker Book, Epoxy Stickers, Buttons, Sequins & Enamel Shapes, Heart Paper Clips, Ephemera Die Cuts, and more! It was so fun to make!

4th of July 6x8 Scrapbook Virtual Class & New Products

Hello scrappy friends & happy Friday! Ever since American Crafts announced their patriotic Flags & Frills collection back in January I have been planning a new virtual class! Gi DeMello and I have been collaborating on various sizes and styles of sequin albums for over a year now and I was so excited when she said yes to making a 4th of July 6x8 Sequin Album for the foundation of my class! At the time of writing this post I have just 5 albums left in my shop HERE so grab one quick!
My entire family, plus both of my Dad's brothers and their families, gather in the historic town of Wallace, Idaho to celebrate the 4th of July! This is our 4th year being together and my 3rd year documenting this holiday. Should I go back and document 2021?? Over the past couple months I have been having SO.MUCH.FUN building the foundation pages and filling all the pockets of my album to hold our annual family reunion photos.
PLEASE NOTE: I am currently finishing up the sample album and then I will film the process of decorating the album and making the foundation pages so I plan to have all the instructions and videos ready in the next couple months - thanks so much for your patience this summer as I deal with chronic headaches & finding a good work/life balance. After purchasing the 4TH OF JULY CLASS Ecwid will email you the PDF which has links to a Dropbox folder where I will add the class PDF, templates, cut files, resources, and the YouTube Playlist where I will add all of the process videos over the next couple months. Just be sure to take LOTS of photos over the 4th of July holiday to fill up your scrapbook!!

The lessons will be pre-recorded so I encourage you to go at your own pace! There is no deadline, this class is meant to be fun and a way to express your creativity while simultaneously building the pages to hold your memories! Construct your album pages throughout June and July then pop your pictures in along with some finishing embellishments then TA-DA! Your very own 4th of July album!
