The One with Hello From Denver!

We thought this weekend was labor Day weekend so here we are. No wonder the tickets were so cheap… Our plane was delayed 20 minutes - just enough time to run into my boss who was flying out from the gate right next to ours. Small world :)

The flight was very bumpy – not my favorite. But I had Midnight Sun to keep me distracted. (Midnight Sun is Twilight written from Edward’s point of view instead of Bella’s. Stephenie Meyer gave some partial copies out and one of them got leaked on the internet, so she posted the partial copy on her website and said Midnight Sun is on “indefinite hold.” I bet she still publishes it eventually. She can’t leave her readers hanging and I’m sure the money aspect will win her/her publishers over.) And the views from the plane were spectacular!

Here are the Wasatch Mountains.
Here's the sun setting before we descended through the clouds.

And the best part was Jay and Nicole were there to pick us up – in a limousine! We ate dinner at my favorite restaurant, Texas Roadhouse, and that completed our day.

Saturday morning we woke up early and went to Nick’s roller hockey game. It’s a very fast paced sport and exciting to watch. Nick’s team tied the game so everyone left happy. Then we went and worked on the Evans’ new house. They’re remodeling it and it’s going to be beautiful. My job for the day was to put caps on the fence posts. This is one of the oodles of poodles - Bella.
Chris and I took a trip to the mall because I had a mad craving for Sweet Factory candy. They don’t have one of those in Provo. We walked all around the mall then went back to the house.

We challenged Jay and Nicole to a game of Scene It: FRIENDS edition. Chris and I won the first round, then we switched the teams and Chris and Jay won against me and Nicole...total luck.

For dinner we went to Cinzetti’s – an Italian resturant with lots of different buffets, sort of like Sizzler, but much much much better. The margherita pizza was the most delicious pizza I've ever had! And the penne pasta, meatballs, spaghetti, breadsticks...my mouth is watering just thinking about it! To top it all off they had crepes with a bunch of different fillings and toppings to choose from.
After dinner we went to a game center, Dave & Busters, and played until I couldn't stay awake any longer. Thanks Nicole, that was the highlight of my day!

It's been a fun trip so far! I like seeing family, eating good food and going neat places!
