Pick-Me-Up Coptic Book

Wednesday, December 27, 2017

With every new scrapbooking collection I love to create a coordinating coptic book! I just received a box of Pick-Me-Up in the mail and got straight to work on this project :)
I enjoy thinking of new ways to decorate the covers. For Turn the Page I drilled holes and cross-stitched a floral design. On this book I white-washed a pair of 4x6" wooden board covers and then wrapped them with the Pick-Me-Up washi tape strips! Colorful and fun!
There is a new product in Pick-Me-Up called Haberdashery - it's a package of little eclectic bits like plastic tag charms, buttons, and sequins - perfect for tying into coptic bindings!
I used all 24 patterned papers, front and back, so every page is a colorful burst of happy!
I drilled five holes through the covers and used a matching blue thread to stitch it all together.
I also coated the covers with a glaze to seal them in place and prevent damage from handling.
If I get a spare minute I plan to make another one for a giveaway! Pick-Me-Up will be in stores in January so keep an eye out!! :)
