Hello scrappy friends! How has your week been? I'm so very excited to introduce you to my first Christmas kit & class!
I love this holiday and everything about it: taking part in old traditions, making new traditions, being with family, yummy food, gathering around the tree, and so much more! I have been documenting our Christmas festivities in a unique album for the past 10 years and love creating different sizes and styles!
Below are links to my albums and HEREis a playlist flipping through them all:
This year I am using my very first Christmas collection with American Crafts called Sugarplum Wishes which includes a traditional ring binder sized to 7x8½” with a 3½” spine - the biggest spine on the market this year! - all the more room for your merry memories!
This class includes over 35 lessons to make foundation pages as well as the cover, spine, dangling charm, and more! In the class PDF which is emailed to you to download upon purchase, you’ll find links to supplies, photos, written instructions, templates, cut files, and links to the individual lessons. Throughout the month of December I will take photos of all our holiday activities and then once Christmas is over I will print my pictures, add them to the album, embellish, and upload a final flip through of my album!
The lessons are pre-recorded so I encourage you to go at your own pace! There is no deadline, this class is meant to be FUN and a way to express your creativity while simultaneously building the pages to hold your memories! Construct your album pages throughout November and December and then pop your pictures in along with some finishing embellishments then TA-DA! Your very own Christmas album with cherished memories!
Don't miss out on a complete, full, and amazing kit with everything you need (aside from basic craft supplies and tools!) to create this unique, festive, eclectic, interactive, cheery, colorful, and FUN Christmas album!

I started by stamping every image from the three Shape-Shifters sets with different colors of scrapbook.com inks on the smooth side of this white cardstock. There are 36 designs in total - such a great value!!
Then I used the coordinating die and ran all the stamped images through a Spellbinders Platinum 6 Machine to cut them all out.
After grabbing a piece of white cardstock for the background, I placed a square photo in the middle and then placed all the images in a frame around the picture.
I used Mini Thickers to make the title "SNOW CUTE" with a blue snowflake Mini Puffy Sticker between, wrote journaling with a blue pen below, added a blue scalloped border from the Sticker Book, and finished with a sprinkling of Enamel Dots.
Happy fall, scrappy friends! Heather Rubert here and today I have a mini album to share! Every fall our family goes to a pumpkin patch and I thought Garden Shoppe would be the perfect collection to document our adventures. I used a variety of Paige's cut files and supplies! Read on for a peek inside this festive mini!
This mini album has a chipboard base, wrapped in Paper 21, and decorated with lots of leaves from the Floral Die Cuts and the Sticker Book. I created the name of the pumpkin patch we visited with mini alphas from the Sticker Book and the Thickers. For a bit of flair, I added a strip of scalloped green using a border punch. The inner pages all measure 4x8".
This spread documents one of the funniest events at the patch - pig races! I figured banners were perfect for a race, so I backed one of Paige’s free cut files with a variety of colors and papers. All the papers I used for this album came from the 12x12 Paper Pad, including the gorgeous background. (I also cheated and used *one* pig sticker from my stash - it just HAD to be on this page!) I took clear floral stickers from the Sticker Book and stuck them to white cardstock for a couple additional embellishments.
For the next spread, I cut Paige’s Falling Leaves from white cardstock and layered it on top of a leafy paper from the 12x12 Paper Pad. I love the leaves on leaves! A couple pieces from the Ephemera Die Cuts dress up a full-size photo. The big photo adds a lot of drama to the album and it highlights one of my favorite photos from the patch.
Next up, sunflowers galore! I love the sunflower motif in Garden Shoppe and for this spread I paired a gorgeous floral paper with Paige’s Sunflower Wreath cut file. I watercolored the cut file before backing it with a golden yellow paper from the 12x12 Paper Pad. A phrase sentiment, also from the paper pad, and some fussy cut ephemera leaves finish things up!
If the theme of the last spread was sunflowers, the theme of this spread is LEAVES! I love love love the background paper with all the different colors of leaves. The “Fall” cut file comes from Paige’s bundle of 20 Fall/Autumn Cut Files. And I couldn’t resist using the Thickers to turn it into a pun. Leaves from the Cardstock Stickers and a journaling spot from the Ephemera Die Cuts fill in the empty corner up on the right.
Last but not least, I have another full-size photo, paired with a vellum pocket. The envelope in the pocket is stuffed with little goodies from the Ephemera Die Cuts, including a wreath backed with a photo. Machine stitching around the edges of each page adds a touch of whimsy and helps make the pages look more finished.
And that’s the album! I hope you enjoyed flipping through this festive mini. I love that I was able to use exclusively papers from the 12x12 Paper Pad to make an entire album! I hope you feel inspired to do some fall crafting! Paige has SO many excellent fall cut files, including a bundle of 20 Fall/Autumn Cut Files. Go check it out for some scrappy inspiration!
Here is one of the new layouts from my Make Your Memory book with Better Day Books! In the chapter about LAYOUTS you'll find the step-by-step photo tutorial including the steps for making these stamped flowers! I used a flower from the Acrylic Stamps in my Splendid collection to stamp a whole bunch of flowers in different colors of ink, fussy cut them out, then layered them in a garden scene! You might recognize this page from my third sketch challenge :) I topped off many of the flowers with smaller things like Sequins and tiny flowers from the Sticker Book.
I hope you are inspired to purchase my Make Your Memorybook and try the tutorial to make your own layout featuring these stamped & fussy cut flowers in a garden scene!
