Grateful for Them Layout by Nidia Rubio

Saturday, September 21, 2019

Hi friends! It's Nidia Rubio from Scrapamundi and I'm so happy to show you my very first layout with Truly Grateful collection. This is a lovely collection. I like sooo much working with colorful collections and this has lovely autumnal details with a very complete palette of beautiful colors.
I started to create the layout thinking about the people I am grateful for. There are many people for whom I am grateful, but there are two beautiful people who weren't in one of my other layouts. So, I looked for many photos with them and finally I chose three of them to use on this layout.

I chose the Picture Wheel cut file and die cut it from white cardstock. This is a very useful cut file to combine different techniques and elements in one project. I put three photographs in the "windows". I created two shaker windows with the sequins from the Mixed Embellishments. And I completed this wheel with some windows full of floral embellishments and pages from the 2x2 Paper Pads. I love adding hand stitching touches so I made a double frame with rose and yellow colors, combined with the background Paper 21.

Then I fussy cut many leaves from Paper 10 and placed them creating a gradient from red colors to yellow. This composition looks great paired with watercolors. The final touch was adding some elements as the title. The "Grateful" Epoxy Sticker looks magic in the center of the layout and I completed the title with foam letters and Wooden Buttons.

I'm so grateful to you for stopping by and I hope you like this layout. See you next time!
