The One with Dear,

Wednesday, January 25, 2012

My SIL Tanya Taylor (how fun is that to say?) is such a great blogger, always coming up with fun new ideas and trends. I feel like I'm always copying her. So I'll follow suit and copy her once again with this Dear (insert blank here), format.

Dear Weather,
You were so beautiful today - I even wore shorts for the first time in months! Keep it up!

Dear Candy,
I hate you. I love you. Right now I'm on a gum kick. I've never really been a gum person, but the more sugary and flavorful the better!

Dear Malm and Dald,
It was so fun having you here for a few days, come back soon!

Dear Courtney, wait, let me rephrase that, Snatchy Courtney,
You're manipulative and I really really really hope Ben doesn't propose to you. This face says it all.

(FYI - this in reference to The Bachelor).

Dear Tomorrow,
I can't wait for you to be here! Fun things are happening which I hope I can share soon! Plus I get to eat at one of my favorite places - Lemonade!

Beef short rib mac ‘n’ cheese get in my belly!

Dear Baby #2,
I swear I feel you moving already, even though I'm only 14 weeks. Maybe it's just gas.

I saw you via ultrasound last week and you were flopping around like a fish and making me laugh. I love you already and can't wait to find out if you're a girl or boy!

Dear Fox,
Every day you get more and more fun and cute. I didn't think that was possible! You say a few words now like "dog" and "Buzz" (as in Buzz Lightyear). My favorite new thing is when you're in the bathtub and I say, "Where's your bellybutton?" and you grab your wee-wers. We'll have to work on that. You're also learning how to 'stack blocks' which reminds me of the episode of Modern Family called The Bicycle Thief when Cameron and Mitchell go to playschool with Lily. When they find out that all the other kids are much more advanced than Lily they decide to steal some blocks that another child has stacked. When the employee informs them of the CCTV cameras and that they can have a copy of Lily stacking the blocks, they quickly leave. Who knew stacking blocks was so important?

I love you and I'm so glad I'm your mom, even if it isn't always sunshine and roses!

Dear Toy Story 1 and 2,
I know you by heart and I never want to watch you ever ever EVER again.

Dear Spring Break,
I look forward to spending you in Seattle with my family! And hopefully we'll get to go to the house in Wallace for the first time.

Dear Husband,
I'm so proud of you. You're like an actual dentist now working on patients and what not. When you come home and start telling me what you did that day I have no idea what you're even saying - you're that smart! :)

Dear Future,
What do you hold? Where will we be for the four years we owe the army? What about after that? I can't focus too much on you or I'll go mad. It's time to live in the present and enjoy the moment!

  13. Dear Paige, I didn't know you were pregnant. And now that I know, I'm happy for you. :) I know I'm a far away stranger but maybe some how that's a comforting thought. That someone, somewhere is happy for you and your family :) :)
