I'm wrapping up Back to School week on the Pink Paislee blog with this layout:
PRE-K by Paige Evans
DESCRIPTION: I made this background a couple years ago but it didn't fit the project I had in mind so it sat in a box collecting dust. When I was looking for a background for this layout after punching all the stars this jumped out at me and I finally got to put it to good use! Moral of the story: never throw away failed attempts - they may come in handy later!
JOURNALING SAYS: Yippe hooray the first day of pre-k! Well, it's Fox's third year and Jane's first! I hope you love school and make good friends and learn!
HOW TO: To make this background I used a white crayon and drew circles and flowers on white cardstock then painted colorful watercolors on top. Then I set it aside... for two years! I punched three stars from each of the patterned squares of Take Me Away Paper 07, layered three at a time, and stitched them to the background. I trimmed photos into stars and matted them on white cardstock before adhering them with foam dots. I splashed black paint over the top and bottom and added journaling and a title.
SUPPLIES: Patterned paper, die cuts, Thickers: Pink Paislee; Cardstock, pen, adhesive: American Crafts; Watercolors: Loew Cornell
DETAIL SHOTS:
