The One with the Black & Red Bat Mitzvah

Sunday, November 11, 2012

I have been soooooo busy lately and there's no end in sight so blogging (and scrapbooking, wah wah) have been pushed to the backburner a bit... hopefully after the holidays I can post and scrap more like I like to. In the meantime, one of the activities that I had the pleasure of attending/working was a Bat Mitzvah at Cafe La Boheme in Hollywood last night! Any place with chandeliers like this is okay in my book!

Cafe La Boheme is one of LA's most seductive restaurants (their words, not mine, although I can see why they say so!). Something about black and red!

The vendors were all outside so I bundled up in like 5 layers, complete with scarf and hat.

Thank goodness for space heaters!

My scrapbook nook was set up right by the photobooth. There were girlies in there all night long trying to see how many they could cram in there at once. Good times :)

I came prepped with 40 black/white pages.

Throughout the night I would take the photobooth strips, adhere them on the pre-made pages along with handwritten notes to the Bat Mitzvah girl, then at the end of the night she had an entire album of memories! Scrapbooking on the scene is genius :)

Aside from scrapbooking and the photobooth, there were glitter tattoos:

Wire jewelry:

And Pac-Man!

I even got to partake in the ice-cream bar, yum.

It's always fun to see what Chris thinks of the "embellishments" I come home with after these fancy schmancy events. I've gotten everything from feathers in my hair, eyelash extensions (with jewels!), and fishtail braids to now a glitter rose tattoo!

They say it'll stay on for up to 7 days - it's already lasted through one shower and completely intact. Sweet beans!
