Lost in Wonderland Layout by Shimelle

Hello crafty friends! Shimelle here today with a new scrapbook page to share. As soon as I heard Paige's new collection would be called Wonders, I hoped there would be a way I could put a Wonderland twist on the collection and sure enough, I loved it! I built this page around the Flower Group cut file, to bring a little of Wonderland's flower garden to life.

I started by cutting the Flower Group cut file from white cardstock and backing it with papers from the 6x8 Paper Pad. I love that this paper pad has all different designs and many have gold foil details to make them extra special. Then I had an idea of how much space the flowers would take on the page so I could add lots of ink to the background to frame the flowers.

Because we're talking Alice in Wonderland, I grabbed basically all of my blue Distress Oxides inks: Speckled Egg, Tumbled Glass, Stormy Sky, Salty Ocean, Broken China, and Chipped Sapphire. I pressed each of them onto my craft mat, sprayed them with water, and painted loose shapes on the white cardstock background, then sprayed that with water to mix the inks. I repeated these steps a few times, and when all the colour was dry, I added tiny splatters of the inks as well. Then I backed the cut file with foam tape and attached it to the inky background. I used the same ink colours plus a pale pink (Spun Sugar) with the Acrylic Stamps to add hearts to the page. With my two photos at the bottom right of the page, the title fit well to the left, using a mix of the white Mini Foam Thickers, the Wonders Epoxy Phrase Stickers, and the multicoloured Foam Thickers from Go the Scenic Route. The blue "Right Now" Cardstock Sticker was such a perfectly Alice blue that I had to include that too! I added my writing in grey ink at the top right, and that's everything finished!

I really love this Flower Group cut file and can think of so many different ways to use it in different sizes and different colours. It can be cut even bigger than this or cut quite small to frame a photo or journaling box. What would you scrapbook with these flowers? Whatever it is, I hope it turns out to be wonderful!
