The One with Getting More Involved

Thursday, January 13, 2011

I'm thinking I'd like to get more involved with the scrapbooking community. As if I don't have enough things on my plate already :) But there's just something magical about the world of scrapbooking and all that it involves and the people you meet and the projects that come out of it. I am such a nostalgic person, I love reliving memories and I do that through blogging and scrapbooking and taking 100 photos every day. Ok, so I don't really take 100 photos every day, but usually I take about 10. That's 10% of 100. FYI. Did I ever tell you I took AP Calculus in High School? I used to be a smarty pants. Not so much anymore. I have a hard time adding 2 +2! Ok, so I'm exaggerating. Now I'm just getting off on a tangent. Where was I? Oh yes. Getting more involved in the scrapbooking world. I think I'd like to try out for some design teams. Just this morning I heard Sassafras was looking for new members to add.

So I submitted some of what I consider my best work:

Pick me pick me!
I think I'd also like to start purchasing the monthly Studio Calico kits.

They seem to be the "it" kit company right now and I'm seeing their stuff used EVERYWHERE. It's about time I jump on that bandwagon! They're even making their own lines with papers and sweet embellishments. Totally up my alley.
I'd also love to be on the Echo Park Paper Co. design team - is there such a thing? Their lines speak to my soul :) Especially this Little Boy line because it matches Foxes nursery to a "T":

And who can forget Two Peas in a Bucket?

I've been a member since May 2003 when I was working at my very first job at Yesterday's Scrapbooking & Stuff. It'd be a dream come true to some day be a Garden Girl. I wish there were more hours in the day so I could scrapbook to my heart's content!
I'm going to CHA in a couple of weeks and I can't WAIT to see all the new lines all of my favorite companies are releasing. Especially stoked about American Crafts - natch. They will always be my #1 :) I'm sure I'll blog about my favorite new stuff in the coming days.
If you're at CHA and see me, stop and say hi! Let's be friends!

  7. paige, good luck with the DT submission. I am studio calico kit subscriber and I promise you will love it. But i will warn you, the add-ons and shop items are addictive. I don't believe I have made it one month with just ordering the main kit. its an addiction!
