The One with the Scrapbook & Cards Today Fall 2014 Issue

Wednesday, September 24, 2014

It has been, I want to say YEARS, since I've held a scrapbook magazine in my hands! Oh how I miss the turn of the page, the smell of freshly printed ink, the layouts seen with my eyes on paper instead of pixelated on a computer. There is something about a physical item in your hands instead of a screen that is just so... so... satisfying. When the Editor-in-Chief of Scrapbook & Cards Today, Becky Fleck, emailed me and asked if I'd like to contribute to the Fall 2014 issue, I replied, and this is an exact copy and paste because I save emails like this, it's the sentimental side of me:

"Oh it is SO FUN to get emails like this!!! I would LOVE to contribute! And yes, I can photograph my own layouts no problem. THANK YOU! I look forward to hearing more details!"
(Could I add anymore exclamation marks?!?!?!?)

I got my two copies of the Fall 2014 issue of Scrapbook & Cards Today in the mail last week and soaked up every second of reading it from cover-to-cover. Seriously, what a beautiful magazine with top-notch photography, a wicked talented design team, and a wonderful aesthetic throughout. So much time and effort are put into each and every issue, I can definitely tell!
For my contribution I made three layouts for the Easy, Detailed, Expert article which you can view HERE. Here is a sneak of my "expert" layout:
I will also have a layout coming out in the 2015 Planner and I'm excited to get another printed copy in the mail and hold it in my hands and flip through the pages. Better yet, sign me up for a subscription! Or, if money is a little tight, you can download the issue FOR FREE! Total and complete win.

Thanks for letting me share! :)
