Suitcase Mini Album by Maija Männistö

Hi there! Maija Männistö here to share a mini album perfect for your vacation photos! Using Truly Grateful, I created a suitcase full of happy colors and memories.
The Suitcase Mini Album cut file is a fun album to assemble! It comes with the actual suitcase and all the little pieces you can add both the inside and the outside of the suitcase to maximize the cuteness! For my suitcase base I chose one of the individual patterned papers, Paper 19, that has the perfect patterns for this. For the outside I wanted to have the gorgeous floral pattern and for the inside the B-side was perfectly subtle. The polka dot paper form the 12x12 Paper Pad is a perfect match for the floral paper and the paper for the straps brings a fun pop of bright color to the suitcase!

Once the suitcase is opened it reveals all the amazingness, starting with the pockets to put lots of photos in. I wanted to add stitching on the suitcase to create a more detailed look, perhaps even more realistic too. I used my sewing machine and gold thread to stitch through each of the paper pieces that go on the outside and the inside of the suitcase as well as the straps on the suitcase.

On the inside there is an accordion folded piece with fun travel-themed shapes. I used the same paper to bring some of the gorgeous florals on the inside as well. To emphasize the shapes I backed them with papers from the 12x12 Paper Pad and added hand stitching on two of them. For the suitcase I used the sequins from the Mixed Embellishments to create a fun shaker pocket.

I added photos in several places around the suitcase along with a bit of journaling.

This vacation of ours in Ras al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates, was mostly about sun, sea, and relaxation so no need for more journaling space. The pockets hold several photos, each packed with patterned papers from the 6x8 Paper Pad. For a little bit of extra things to look at I added some pieces from the 2x2 Paper Pads into the pockets.

For embellishments I used the Ephemera Die Cuts and Floral Die Cuts to add several flowers and sunshiny details. The Cardstock Stickers also had the perfect pieces to add to the project as well as the Epoxy Stickers, adding different textures.

Thank you so much for stopping by today, have a great day!
