Mini Ornaments Layout by Stefanie Ried

Thursday, December 3, 2020

Hi friends, Stefanie Ried here sharing a new layout made with Go the Scenic Route! Are you already in the Christmas mood? The first snow fell on December 1st right on time here in Germany, which surprised us very much since we rarely have snow in December. What a joy! Just like on my big photo which I used for my next layout. The photo is of my daughter and I took it spontaneously 2 years ago. Since the background was white, it was perfect for a big photo layout. And a Christmas necklace with colorful baubles should not be missing. With all the bright colors from the Go the Scenic Route collection, it fit perfectly.

First I punched out the baubles with a circle punch. Then I folded them in the middle and glued 5 circles together. This is how the ornaments came together. I made the hanger of the ornaments with glitter paper. For this I cut a narrow strip with the cutting board and turned it over a thin brush handle to create a little tube.

Finally, I drew the garland with a pencil and embroidered it with a gold thread on the photo. I printed the photo on normal white cardstock which was better suited for embroidery and sticking on than photo paper.

Have a nice December with lots of glitter and lights!
