Christmas Stamps Spread by Paula Fiihr

Happy day after Christmas! Paula Fiihr here today sharing a spread in my December Daily using the Stamps from Paige’s 25 Days of Christmas Cut Files and her Go the Scenic Route line.

I cut the Stamps in two sizes - once from white cardstock and once from paper in the 12x12 Paper Pad. I rubbed some gesso on both pages - Paper 17 and the pink paper from the 12x12 Paper Pad before I started to add a little more depth to the papers. For the main page, I decided to make the Christmas tree stamp into a shaker. This is a fairly easy process with so many ways to do it, and here’s how I made this one: I cut a rectangle piece - the same size as the stamp - out of foam (you can use a die cut or by hand) and glued it to a piece of paper cut to the same size. I added glitter and confetti inside the foam rectangle. I cut a piece of acetate and glued it to the bottom side of the stamp and then glued this to the foam. Now it’s a shaker!

I filled in the dots with dimensional craft paint and topped it with a star. The ornament stamp also was filled in with the same craft paint. I added a pic of my daughters decorating our tree and finished with a few pieces from the Enamel Dots. On the next page I journaled on Paper 12. The present and gingerbread stamps were backed with scraps and I sewed pink fabric behind the train stamp. The word strip and dots are from the Puffy Phrase Stickers. I didn’t use all the cute Stamps on this layout so they are ready to be used on another project.

Thanks for stopping by and I wish you all a happy New Year!
