Birthday Cards by Ashley Neu

Hi scrappy friends! Ashley Neu here with some fun and cheerful birthday cards! For all 3 cards, I used the Wonders collection along with the Balloons, Cupcake, Happy Birthday, and Confetti Background cut files. I don’t typically make cards but I’m always in need of birthday cards so it was a no brainer that I should probably stock up on some!

For the first card, I used the Balloons cut file. After cutting the balloons from white cardstock, I backed it with scalloped border punched strips using patterned papers from the 6x8 Paper Pad and layered it under the cut file in rainbow order. I grabbed my white gel pen to add highlights on the scalloped borders and used blue watercolors to create a fun splatter technique on the card base. I popped up the cut file with foam adhesive and I finished it off with the "Best Day" sentiment from the 8-Page Sticker Book.

For the second card, I used the Cupcake cut file. Again, I backed the cut file with patterned papers from the 6x8 Paper Pad to create a colorful cupcake. I made a handmade bow to layer on top of the bow around the cupcake to help give some fun dimension. I used the "It’s Your Day!" sticker from the Cardstock Stickers and popped it up with foam adhesive. Lastly, I added some shine and dimension by using Ranger Ink Glossy Accents on the cherry as well as the sprinkles! I love the way the cherry looks! Before attaching the cupcake to the card base, I layered patterned papers on the bottom to ground the cupcake and some corner pieces to the top of the card base.

For the third and final card, I used the Happy Birthday and Confetti Background cut files. I backed the card base with Paper 13 and layered the Confetti Background over top. Next, I backed the Happy Birthday cut file with a paper from the 6x8 Paper Pad and popped it up with foam adhesive. I used some fun embellishments from the 8-Page Sticker Book to add on top of the sentiment. I finished off the card by adding the "to you" from the Epoxy Phrase Stickers and layered it on top over white cardstock.

Thank you so much for stopping by Paige’s blog and have a wonderful day!
