Hey friends! Inessa Persekian here and I'm so excited to share my very first layout using the absolutely gorgeous Happy Haven collection and I have to say, I’m obsessed with how it turned out!
To kick things off, I started with Paper 2. This one is so pretty, I just had to use both sides! I carefully trimmed out the center using my trimmer then fussy cut around the scalloped square to use as a decorative frame. For my base, I trimmed a 12x12 piece of white cardstock down to 11x11", then machine-stitched it right onto the patterned paper background for a clean and dimensional look. Once my background was ready, I adhered the scalloped square slightly off-center about 1.5" from the left and just slightly shifted vertically for that casual, layered feel. I added a 4x6" photo then went straight into embellishing mode using Floral Die Cuts. I built a vertical floral cascade along the right side of the photo, starting with the largest flowers first, then layering in smaller blooms, leaves, and other bits and pieces. My title, “Cherish Your People,” comes from the 12x12 sticker sheet in the Project Pad and I added the "Remember This" Foam Sticker along with a sweet little banner from the Journaling Die Cuts. Since everything felt a little right-heavy, I created a smaller floral cluster on the left side to balance it out. Then came the finishing touches: a sprinkling of Mini Puffy Stickers, a few of the gold Foam Sticker buttons, gold ink splatters, and tucked-in strands of gold thread near the larger florals for some extra texture. I love how soft, dimensional, and warm this page turned out and I hope it inspires you to grab Happy Haven and just play. Have a beautiful, crafty day!
