Here's what we were up to in April 2025! The highlight was a weekend trip to Disneyland! I did a separate post for that since once again I took over 1000 photos :) I am a scrapbooker afterall!
A HUGE THING HAPPENED: FOX IS TALLER THAN ME! I felt bad for not noticing sooner, but literally 3 weeks before in Hawaii he was 3" shorter than me - photo proof below!!! He literally grew 4" in 3 weeks!!! He's growing up so fast.
I took Janey girl to Taco Bell for lunch. Mmmmmm.
We went to Texas Roadhouse for dinner on a Friday night. Those cinnamon butter rolls though. We watched Rory McIlroy win the Masters Tournament and become one of the very few golfers to achieve the Grand Slam. He was so emotional, you could feel it through the screen. I hope they filmed all this for season 4 of Full Swing!
Way to go Rory!
It's been a beautiful spring in Denver. All the shades of pink blossoms make my heart pitter patter.
This was a before photo of our backyard but for some reason I forgot to take an after photo when it snowed the very next day. The temperature swings are so wacky in the spring.Happy Easter Sunday!
Jane's Easter egg hunt was in the living room/kitchen.
Fox's Easter egg hunt was in the basement. Sandy "helped" :)
Love our egg tree.We went to Tom & Margi's house for dinner and I tried getting selfies with Jay & Haylie's poodle Kona to send to them since they were in Hawaii. Lacy photobombed us.
Jane at Michaels.
Fox asked me to go to GameStop to pre-order a Nintendo Switch 2. I didn't know it was this big of deal. I was waaaay too late and they sold out right when I got in line. I'm too old for these kinds of hyped up things lol.Our house finches Berry and Cherry have returned for the 4th year in a row! Actually I doubt it's the same original pair of house finches, but that's still what we call them.
At the end of March they built up the nest and I noticed 1 egg on March 31st. By April 5th there were 5 eggs. For 2 weeks the mama bird sat patiently on the eggs to keep them warm throughout the snow storms. On April 16th I peeked into the nest and all 5 eggs had hatched! Typically they fledge at 2 weeks but as of today (May 1st) they're 2 weeks and 3 days old with no signs of leaving the nest. Lazy birds hehe.
Speaking of birds, one morning I looked out the window and saw a ginormous wild turkey sauntering down the road! He sat on the neighbor's porch for hours at a time. Later in the afternoon he walked further down the street. A few days later he passed right in front of my window. So funny!
I got a manicure - it always feels so nice to have a fresh look.
Bringing these Loungefly backpacks to Disneyland!
We saw The Amateur and Drop in the theater in April, both were pretty good but don't necessarily need to see them again.

Kitties! Kitties! Kitties! They're too cute, I can't even handle it.
They so rarely snuggle so when they do I snap a million pics. And as always, they follow me everywhere. When I'm in the basement exercising every morning, they're there. When I'm scrapbooking or putting kits together, they're there. When I put something away in a random closet, they're there. When I'm taking a nap or going to sleep, they're there. It's the best.
Sandy Sue being her cute & curious self. She makes the funniest faces.
Amy is simply the sweetest. **********************************************************************************

Almost all of April was spent creating the 4th of July scrapbook that I'm going to teach at my event in Wallace.
My favorite foundation page featuring hand stitched fireworks.
I went back in time and scrapped photos from our 4th of July 2021. I love having all 4 albums complete. I will need to make one for 2025 since we're going to Wallace once again this year :)
All done! Just need to write instructions. Maybe AI can help me lololol.
Sneak peek of all the patriotic foundation pages.
Chris helped me collate all the kits. I'm so grateful for his help.
I prepped a mini album for Make With Me Monday.
