Home Grown Goodness Mini Album by Antonia Sherlock

Hello, crafty friends! Antonia Sherlock here with a mini album I created using Paige’s Greenhouse cut file and her Garden Shoppe collection. My husband and I got into gardening this year and I wanted to document all the produce we grew throughout the year. And what better cut file to use than a Greenhouse!

I started by reducing the size of the cut file. After cutting it out from cardstock for the front cover, I modified it to form a house shape, which was slightly larger than the greenhouse outline.

I cut the house shape out of cardstock several times for the pages, and from chipboard for the front and back cover. This can easily be done using a paper trimmer or a cutting machine.

I used the Garden Shoppe collection to decorate my album – this is one of my favorite collections from Paige and it was perfect for this album as it has that autumn harvest vibe!

I decorated each page with a different patterned paper, using the less busy designs. I documented a different month on each page, starting with growing the seedlings on the window ledge and finishing with a page dedicated to my butterfly patrol officer.

I left a couple of pages unfinished, to document the September and October “harvests”. I needed two pages to document all the produce picked in August, and I ended up adding a mini envelope to hold all the photos! 

If you like this idea, but can’t find the Garden Shoppe collection online, I would recommend having a look at the Happy Haven collection as a suitable alternative – with its garden theme and warm sentiments, it’s the perfect collection for a greenhouse mini album! I’m tempted to make another one using Happy Haven!

Distressed Paper Strips Layout by Paige Evans

Hello scrappy friends! Here is the 3rd of 4 layouts that I taught how to create at Frank Garcia Studio recently using my Lovely Lane collection and you can purchase the class PDF which includes all instructions and templates/cut files needed to make all 4 layouts for $10 HERE, OR, this class PDF as well as two others are free with the purchase of my Lovely Lane & Legendary collections bundle.

This layout features 8 Lovely Lane patterned paper strips that I distressed for texture and interest and then layered down the background in an ombre fashion for continuity. I matted two photos of sweet Jane on a light pink paper and then overlapped them in the middle. Cascading embellishments keep the eyes engaged on the design and add an extra pop of fun!

I opted for printed journaling strips incorporated into the vertical line of embellishments and made the simple title "JANE" with the large puffy alpha stickers - lucky for me there was a purple letter for all four letters!

Apple Basket Layout by Stephanie Draleau

Hey ya’ll! Stephanie Draleau here with a gorgeous layout featuring Paige’s Apple Basket cut file and the Harvest Market collection by Simple Stories.

I started by foiling some Deco foil toner sheets in Coral Watercolor, Bronze, and Crimson Shattered Glass and then backed the leaves of the Apple Basket cut file with them. I backed the rest of the cut file with papers from the 6x8 paper pad from Harvest Market. I embellished with die cuts and stickers. I finished off with a foam sticker title from Simple Stories Acorn Lane collection, Nuvo Cream Gold sparkle splatter, and Dried Flowers sequins from Speigle Mom Scraps. Stay Cozy Layout by Rochi Villegas

Hello crafty friends! Rochi Villegas here sharing my latest design team scrapbook layout with you. For this page I wanted to capture those sweet winter memories while keeping the vibe warm and cozy. I paired Paige's Stay Cozy cut file with her Happy Haven collection.

First I cut the Stay Cozy cut file from white cardstock and then backed it with papers from the 12x12 Project Pad. I used the pink checkered Paper 11 from the Adventurous collection as the final background layer for contrast. To bring more softness and dimension, I layered in some tulle. To add more detail, I hand stitched on some of the Floral Die Cuts and used machine stitching around the page for extra texture. I also included a hidden journaling spot which is perfect for writing down special memories while keeping the design clean and fresh. Thank you so much for stopping by today! Better Together Layout by Nicole Santos

Hello all, Nicole Santos here with another lovely page using the Happy Haven 12x12 Project Pad! I love the 12x12 Project Pad because it has stickers, patterned papers, and even solid papers. It’s perfect for any project! I also used Paige's Open Book with Flowers cut file to document my book club meeting from August.

First I cut the Open Book with Flowers cut file from white cardstock and then backed it with solid papers from the Happy Haven 12x12 Project Pad. Next I used the leafy paper from the 12x12 Project Pad as my background. I added white gesso to the middle part and then added green Shimmerz paints to make a mixed media background. I then used lots of stickers from the 12x12 Project Pad to make my title and added floral embellishment clusters. I finished with sequins, buttons, and gold splatters from my stash. Dolly Layout by Ali Skifton

Happy Monday crafty friends! It’s Ali Skifton here and I’m so excited to be on Paige’s blog today sharing a new layout using her Adventurous collection!

I used my absolute favorite Paper 15 for the background. The tiny flowers felt like a perfect match for the ones in Dolly’s hair. To create a sky effect that ties in with the photo, I added a strip of Paper 14 - such a fun way to stretch your scraps! I embellished around my photos using Floral Die Cuts, Enamel Dots, and Cardstock Stickers. And can we talk about how darling those Thickers are?! Hello Dolly!

Flower Heart Layout by Paige Evans

Here is the second of four layouts that I taught how to create at Frank Garcia Studio recently using my Lovely Lane collection and you can purchase the class PDF which includes all instructions and templates/cut files needed to make this layout (plus 3 more!) for $10 HERE, OR, this class PDF as well as two others are free with the purchase of my Lovely Lane & Legendary collections bundle.

This layout features a light purple cardstock background splattered with white acrylic paint and then topped with a heart made of patterned paper flowers. I used most of the patterned papers in Lovely Lane and an origami technique to make the flowers by hand. I placed the paper flowers in an ombre colorway and then topped many of them with little embellishments.

To finish up the page I tucked two 3x4" photos of myself twirling inside the heart, added a title with the large colorful puffy stickers on the top right, and wrote journaling on the top left corner with a purple pen.

Back to School Layout by Valerie Bisson

Hello friends! Valerie Bisson here today and I’m super happy to be back to share a fun Back to School layout with you. It features Paige’s Happy Haven collection and her Back to School cut file.

I started my layout with a fun idea creating an old school chalkboard for my background using black and kraft cardstock and adding staples to each corner. Next, I cut the Back to School cut file at 10” across from white cardstock and used a bunch of my scraps from the 12x12 Project Pad and Happy Haven papers to back the cut file. I think this cut file could work documenting any grade level. Then I placed the cut file near the bottom for a perfect fit inside the frame. I selected several pieces from the Journaling Die Cuts and created a banner to go across the top of the page for a fun whimsical look showcasing my photos. To keep the pieces all in place, I machine stitched them to the background and added foam squares underneath some of the edges for greater interest. I scattered small embellishments throughout my layout from the Foam Stickers, Mini Puffy Stickers, and stickers from the 12x12 Project Pad. I topped off my page with a sprinkling of white acrylic paint and a few enamel dots. Have a wonderful crafty day!

Ribbons & Trims & Things, Oh My!

My storage bin of excess ribbons & trims was filled to the brim so I've made RIBBON BUNDLES! Each bag has 35 random ribbons & trims cut to 8.75" for adding to the edges of album pages and page protectors. I had 92 different ribbons in my stash so if you purchase more than 1 bundle I will do my best to make sure you get different assortments for a wide variety!

Here are 9 examples of mini albums & scrapbooks where I've added RIBBONS & TRIMS onto the edges. I do this technique a lot :)
What can I say, I love the way it looks, the texture, and how they bring the album to life!

Happy Haven Layout by Sophie Delorme

Hello friends, Sophie Delorme here and today I am sharing another cute layout created with Paige's Happy Haven collection!

I decided to create a little quilt background with punched squares out of one of the patterned papers from the 12x12 Project Pad. I made a zig zag stitch between all the squares with white thread. I mounted my photo on tissue paper and foam dots and placed it on the left of the page. I embellished around it using Floral Die Cuts, Foam Stickers, and Cardstock Stickers. Happy Walks Layout by Phil Donahue

Hello scrappy friends! Phil Donahue here back on Paige's blog with a fun layout featuring her Adventurous collection and a creative way to use up embellishments big and small!

To begin I chose Paper 6 as my main 12x12 background because the colors and fun pattern would allow for many more colorful embellishments from the collection. Next, I lightly drew a circle using a salad plate in the center of the page. I adhered embellishments from the Chipboard Shapes, Cardstock Stickers, 8-Page Sticker Book, and Mini Puffy Stickers - this is the perfect collection for this technique because there's such a wide array of embellishments in many shapes and sizes to fill the circle! I started by adhering large embellishments then got smaller and smaller until the circle took shape. I added my photo on top of the embellishment circle and a title using Mini Thickers and a phrase from the Chipboard Shapes. Lastly, I erased the pencil marks and added enamel dots to fill any blank areas to complete the layout! I hope you found some inspiration in this layout and choose to try this technique with Paige's Adventurous collection!
