The One with The Historian

Since I don't have very much to write about, I thought I could post my book reviews. I love to read and have ever since I was young. Recently I started keeping track of and reviewing what I read after seeing my father-in-law's book review list. So, here is my first book review from my list. Enjoy!

P.S. Please comment if you have read any of these and let me know what you think!

1.Title & Author: The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova (704 pages)
Genre: Fiction—Mystery & Suspense
Completed:
1 March 2007
Summary & Review:

Narrated by his daughter, this story traces the travels of Paul as he searches for his old professor, his wife, and the one and only Dracula. The story is told through first person accounts of Familia (the daughter), transcriptions of Paul’s letters, as well as recounts of stories that Paul told Familia as a girl. Throughout the plot we learn more and more about the legend of Dracula and what happened to Helen, Paul’s wife.

The plot is complex and I could hardly include any of it if I wanted to keep this summary short. But, I loved the book. I finished it in under a week and wished there were more pages to read when I got to the end. It was suspenseful and intriguing. I definitely recommend it.
