First, check out this video for all of the sales information, a flip through of the Scrapbook.com 2018 Gift Guide, and then the process video showing how to make this tag-shaped mini album from start-to-finish:

To make the base of the album I used the scrapbook.com exclusive Jumbo Decorative Die Set - Nested Variety Kit 1 and from that set I used the Nested Tags. Almost everything else I used is from my Whimsical collection with Pink Paislee! There are nine concentric sized tags and I cut one each from the thickest white cardstock I own from Bazzill Basics and then I cut another from these patterned papers, going from smallest to biggest: Paper 05 B-side, Paper 15 B-side, Paper 09 B-side, Paper 24Paper 11 B-side, Paper 14 B-side, Paper 03Paper 18 B-side, and Paper 09.
I machine stitched the patterned paper tags to every coordinating cardstock tag using a matching colored thread. Then I wanted to add mixed media to the background of every tag so first I applied a layer of white gesso and then splashed white acrylic paint on top. Once that dried I splashed my new favorite Prima - Pastel Dreams watercolors tone-on-tone over every tag. Then I die cut my Textures Background cut file using a Silhouette Cameo 3 and scraped modeling paste through it, one texture on each of the nine tags. Time for adding the photos and embellishments!
The super cute paper bead tassels charm is from my talented friend Lisa Fonseca. Isn't it so cute? I need 100 more :) On the first/smallest tag I made the title using the rainbow Foam Mini Thickers to say Innsbruck - three letters in each of the three rows - I do love a grid design! I created the "AUSTRIA" part from the mini alphabet stickers included in the 4-page Sticker Book. I added a tiny sticker strip also from the Sticker Book underneath. On every tag I stitched a piece of ribbon at the bottom and here I used pink ric-rac from the Turn the Page Ribbon. Also on every tag I punched a hole reinforcer from a pattern on Paper 19. That's the finished first tag and cover page!
On the second tag I copied, pasted, printed, trimmed, and glued journaling strips taken straight from the blog post re-cap about our day in Innsbruck, Austria using the font Remington Noiseless. I stitched crocheted ribbon also from the Turn the Page Ribbon at the bottom and embellished with cloud and leaf Puffy Stickers and a gold flower border sticker from the Sticker Book at the top.
The third tag is also simple and includes the first photo. I printed all of my pictures at home using a Canon Pro-100 printer, Picasa software (now defunct), and printed them at 2" square. I trimmed this picture here into a rectangle. I layered the photo over a flower sticker from the Sticker Book and tucked a blue border Sticker underneath. I topped the photo with a Butterfly Charm and tucked a leaf sticker under it. The ribbon stitched at the bottom is once again from the Turn the Page Ribbon.
On tag four I layered a photo over a round mint Sticker and tucked a floral Chipboard Sticker under the top. I added a sentiment banner Chipboard Sticker on top and stitched through it. Journaling strips caption the photo and then I stitched gold decorative leaf trim to the bottom.
Tag five is PINK! :) I framed a photo of the pink Church of the Holy Spirt with a colorful heart frame from the Ephemera Die Cuts, clipped on a green Tassel Paper Clip to the right, and adhered a caption below. Under the right edge I added a Floral Die Cut and on top added a cloud Sticker and floral Chipboard Sticker. At the bottom edge I added a few border stickers from the Sticker Book and 6x12 Sticker sheet and then zig zag stitched floral Turn the Page Ribbon to the back.
Here on the sixth tag I layered a large Floral Die Cut, two photos with a floral Sticker between, and journaling strips on top. At the bottom I stitched a gold "whimsical" Chipboard Sticker, a scalloped border sticker from the Sticker Book, and then added the teal velvet ribbon from the Maggie Holmes Carousel Collection ribbon spools at the bottom. I also dotted the second "i" in "whimsical" with a yellow butterfly Puffy Sticker.
On tag seven I added lots of journaling strips to the bottom half. There were two photos I wanted to add so I layered them and only placed adhesive at the top. I made a cluster of embellishments using a ruler sticker from the Sticker Book, "IMAGINE" Chipboard Sticker banner, cloud Chipboard Sticker, floral hummingbird Puffy Sticker, and a blue Butterfly Charm. At the bottom edge I stitched pink pom pom trim from the Maggie Holmes Carousel Collection ribbon spools, a heart border sticker from the Sticker Book, purple floral washi tape Chipboard Sticker, dark blue leaf Chipboard Sticker, yellow flower Chipboard Sticker, orange dot Chipboard Sticker, and an "oh what a day" Puffy Sticker.
Here is a look at the photo underneath:
Tag eight has lots of purple! I layered three Floral Die Cuts down the middle and then added a series of three square photos zig zag stitched together and then folded accordion style on top (you can see how this was done more clearly in the process video). I added a purple Tassel Paper Clip to the left side of the top photo along with a pink butterfly Puffy Sticker to keep it from sliding. On the top edge of the photo I placed a "The Happy Life" Chipboard Sticker and then scattered a bunch of round Chipboard Stickers at the bottom. I tucked a "LOVE THIS" Puffy Sticker under the photos and placed a rainbow scalloped border Puffy Sticker at the bottom edge. I machine stitched the pink/gold glitter ribbon from the Maggie Holmes Carousel Collection ribbon spools behind the bottom back edge.
Here is a what the photo trio looks like when opened. I also added captions to two pics.
On the ninth and last tag I layered some Floral Die Cuts at the bottom and then printed a larger rectangular photo which I turned into a pocket to hold extra pictures by machine stitching around the left, bottom, and right sides only. I always have lots of pictures I want to include but not enough space so pockets are a must! I added a few border stickers at the bottom and stitched the colorful striped Turn the Page Ribbon to the back bottom edge. I added a few floral Puffy Stickers, a butterfly Ephemera Die CutButterfly Charm, flower Chipboard Sticker, and flower Sticker as shown to finish!
Here are the extra photos outside of the pocket:
This mini album was so fun to make and came together quickly too! I worked on all of the tags at once to add the papers, stitching, and mixed media and then I worked on the pages one at a time to add the photos and finishing touches.
I hope you are inspired to check out the Scrapbook.com holiday sales and pick up the Whimsical collection to create beautiful things! Thank you so much for stopping by, I'll be back soon with more stuff to share!
