Hi friends! Shimelle here today with my first ever page using the new Go the Scenic Route collection! I love using a loose line of embellishments to create a diagonal composition across the page, so I combined all those new patterns and stickers with the Flower Cluster cut file so I could have many pieces to scatter.
I started my background with the lush B-side of Paper 24 and chose a colorful design from the 6x8 Paper Pad to place in the middle of the page. I backed that with the navy blue B-side of Paper 4 for a nice frame of contrast. Time to create a loose diagonal line of embellishments from the top left corner to the bottom right.

I started with the largest elements first: the Flower Cluster cut from white cardstock. Half the blossoms on the top left of the paper block and half on the bottom right, with the largest blossoms tucked into the corners of the paper. The smallest flowers can float right at the edge of the paper. Then came color! I mixed in pieces from the Floral Die Cuts and the Cardstock Stickers, plus some puffy stickers from the Puffy Phrase Thickers. That beautiful orange flower die cut was big enough to cut in half and run off the page on both corners, which really helps this sort of composition feel natural. My journaling block is also from the 6x8 Paper Pad, which includes a smaller version of the cut apart designs. My title came from the Puffy Phrase Thickers, and I love the blue foil designs from the Cardstock Stickers.

What's your favorite element from Go the Scenic Route? I love this color scheme so much so I'm really looking forward to making stacks of pages!
