You Got This Pocket Page by Amy Jo Vanden Brink

I'm so delighted to share with you all today! My name is Amy Jo Vanden Brink and I'm going to share a pocket page layout featuring Paige's You Got This cut file and the fantastic rainbow Paper 08 from the Truly Grateful collection. Using cut files in your pocket pages is so much fun and I hope that this layout will inspire you to try it!

To start with, I sized the You Got This cut file down so that it would fit in a 3x4 pocket, that meant making it 4 inches tall. I locked the aspect ratio so that it wouldn't get squashed and that allowed it to easily slip in the pocket. Then I carefully cut out the backing piece out of the middle of the paper. I could have used the Silhouette to do this, but I wanted the point right in the middle of the O so I did it by hand with an exacto knife instead. I did trace it with pencil first so that I didn't have to keep the white outline there while I cut.

Once I had the focal point, I cut some 3x4 cards out of the rest of the same paper for the top right and bottom left (trying to keep the color wheel in order) and then used the B-side of Paper 06 to make some journaling cards. I added a strip of color from the rainbow paper on them and then went through my embellishment stickers to find small pieces that matched from the Puffy Stickers. I loved the idea of having things in rainbow order so I added color appropriate stickers along the sides of my journaling cards before I added my words.

Thank you for checking out my work today, I hope that it inspired you to get some cards into your pocket pages and maybe gave you some ideas for including a cut file as well!
