Hi creative friends! Monique Lowe here and I’m so excited to share this warm and heartfelt layout with you using Paige’s beautiful Happy Haven collection.
This page captures special moments from when my twins were newborns – such a precious time to document! I started with four photos and added hand stitching around each one using thread colors pulled from both the images and the Happy Haven palette. Each photo was then backed with coordinating patterned papers, with the edges lightly distressed with scissors for texture. The photos were arranged in a 2 x 2 grid on a square of pretty floral paper from the 12x12 Project Pad, also distressed. Using this as a guide, I added soft watercolor washes in matching tones to a white mixed media cardstock background, peeking around the edges for a gentle, blended effect. I adhered the photo block to the center of the page with foam squares for dimension. Around the edges, I tucked in Floral Die Cuts, layering them tone-on-tone over the watercolors. Some florals were tucked in quite far so I cut them in half so none went to waste! To finish, I added a fussy cut circular sentiment from Paper 12 and a simple title using Cardstock Stickers as well as mini titles on each photo using Mini Thickers.
