Hello everyone! Jackie Ashton here with my next Design Team layout! One of my favorites drinks to have over the season is a lovely hot chocolate by the Christmas tree. For this page I used the Very Merry Christmas collection by Paige Evans for Pinkfresh Studio.
I started with white cardstock as my base and added holly stencil details. Behind my photo I layered two blocks of patterned paper from the 6x8 Paper Pad. I distressed all of the edges to bring in some extra texture and give the layout a slightly worn, well-loved feel. My 3x4 photograph of our hot chocolate cups by the tree was backed with coordinating patterned papers from the same 6x8 Paper Pad to help it pop from the background. The title comes from the Chipboard Stickers and adds a lovely bit of dimension to the page. I also added a mug from the Icon Ephemera Die Cuts to the right of the title. I then tucked in a mix of festive Icon Ephemera Die Cuts around the layout. In the top right corner, I added a small cluster to fill what felt like a bit of empty space and to visually balance the heavier elements at the bottom of the page. Finally, I hand stitched circles around the design to bring in some extra texture and a subtle handmade touch and added heart shaped Enamel Dots around the page.
