I don't have much of a green thumb, but these plant canvases from Flora Grubb Gardens are pretty freaking awesome. These must be really slow growing plants or else the art wouldn't last very long on your wall. And how do you water it? Spray it with a water bottle? And do you have to remove a few every now and then to allow for growth? Alls I know is it looks really cool. And, of course, I want to make one.
How funny you should post about this...These exact same pictures are in my most recent Garden Design magazine. Vertical gardens are huge right now! These actually have a really elaborate watering system that runs through the wall they are mounted on. And, yeah, you're right; they're succulents so they don't require much water to start with...I'm sure that's much more than you wanted to know.
Yet another really cool idea that I want to try. I'm getting a huge list of things I want to try since reading your site! Oh, and I bet you wouldn't need an elaborate watering system; all you'de have to do is spritz them with water. If you live in a humid area they can just get water out of the air unless, of course, you have the air conditioner or heat always on.
