A Mother's Love Layout

Tuesday, September 18, 2018

I joined the Pinkfresh Studio Liquid Watercolors video hop and here is the layout I made for it:
Check out the process video to see how this layout came together:
I started by die cutting two of my floral bunch cut files from textured white cardstock and then applied white gesso over both of them. I used a hair dryer to speed up the drying process a bit.
Then I applied the liquid watercolors to the die cuts and painted each flower and set of leaves a bright color. Once those die cuts dried I stitched them to the top and bottom edges of a smooth white cardstock background. I picked a black & white photo of me and the kids and glued it between the flowers.

I wanted the watercolored flowers to be the main draw of the page so I didn't add much else as far as embellishments. For the title I used the dark blue puffy stickers from the Pinkfresh Studio Indigo Hills 2 collection and used a "love" die cut too. I added a "wishes" wood veneer sticker below and journaled to the left. To finish I added white enamel dots around the page.
Be sure to check out the Pinkfresh Studio Liquid Watercolors - sure to brighten up any page!!
For a chance to win a $25 gift card (and there are lots of chances to win since every person in the hop is giving away one!) leave a comment on each person's video below:
