Best Day Ever Layout for Paige's Pages 16

Here is the third layout from Paige's Pages 16 at Big Picture Classes!
I’ve tried this next technique once before on a layout but didn’t film the process so I was excited to share how to combine sequins and hand stitching to create a special title! I also love monochromatic pages so this page combines a few of my favorite techniques.
First I looked through my sequin stash and figured out which colors I wanted to use. My eyes were immediately drawn to the blue and mint sequins and the ball got rolling from there. I created a large title (BEST DAY EVER) and included a free printable that you can trace onto your layout in Lesson 3 of Paige's Pages 16 at Big Picture Classes. In the lesson I’ve also included the .studio3 and SVG files so you can use your die cutting machines to draw the title if that’s easier for you.
This layout took longer than I anticipated because the liquid glue I used didn’t hold the sequins and they cracked off when I was piercing stitching holes through them. I recommend using super glue the first time around to save yourself a hassle :) I also recommend wearing a glove while stitching – this will help get a better grip on the needle while your hand stitching – the holes in sequins can be quite tiny so pushing and pulling the needle through might make your fingers hurt and I feel like the glove alleviates some of that. All in the name of scrapbooking right?! I honestly find it therapeutic and worth it – I love the end results of this technique!
Find the start-to-finish process video and more tips & tricks over in Lesson 3 of Paige's Pages 16 at Big Picture Classes! :)
