Guest Designer | Rachel Lowe

Hi everyone, my name is Rachel Lowe and I'm from Australia. Find me on instagram @rachellowe____ and my blog www.inmyworld-scrapbookingourjourney.blogspot.com. I am thrilled to be Paige's guest designer this month! Cut files always feature on my layouts and cards and I love Paige’s cut files in particular. My first layout I have created with the Turn the Page collection and two cut files, the amazing Butterfly cut file and the beautiful Flower cut file.
As I love to layer, I cut two of the outer butterfly and three of the flower making each one slightly smaller than the other.

My next layout is all about florals! I used the Whimsical collection. I have to admit I purchased two of the Floral Die Cuts knowing I would use them for a layout like this. I have used the Hanging Flowers Basket cut file.
Although I have covered the cut file flowers (which are gorgeous by the way) I have paper pieced the basket, some of the leaves, and finished off with machine stitching to add texture.

My third project is an altered embroidery hoop and I used the Oh My Heart collection. I used two cut files on this project: Butterflies Wreath and Flower Group.
I paper backed the butterflies and I also cut extra butterflies layering some of them in a random manner. I used an ombre paper to provided my flower with shadow and light, paper backing the leaves. I added die cut flowers and blooms in and around the cut file. I placed the finished hoop in my craft room - it certainly is a pretty version of a photo frame!

And lastly, I created a mini album using the Whimsical collection again. I used the Mini Album Card with Pocket Envelope and Tags cut file. I resized the album so the squares measured 2x2 inches, this way I could use all the gorgeous 2x2 Paper Pads.

Here is a photo of the inside - it's an album celebrating my daughter's 18th birthday.

Thank you for stopping by today and happy scrapping!
