Hey everyone, it’s Elsie Robinson here with a scrapbook layout using Paige’s super fun Popcorn cut file. As I’m a bit of a film/TV geek, when I saw this cut file I knew I had to use it ASAP! I mixed and matched a few collections to create this page, so let me talk you through the process.
Firstly, I cut the Popcorn cut file from white cardstock and I cut it quite large because I knew I wanted it to be the main focal point of the layout. I used patterned papers from Bloom Street to back it, including some of the speciality papers from the 6x8 Paper Pad. I also hand-stitched around the outline of the cut file with white thread to add more definition.

I couldn’t decide what alphabet to use to create my title, but I eventually settled on the Truly Grateful Thickers. I felt like this marquee-style lettering went well with the movie theme. Next I created a border to frame my photos using Paper 13. I thought it would be a fun idea to make it look like a film strip, so I adhered my photos to the paper and made sure that I left a thick border above and below the photos. I then punched holes every ¼ inch to achieve that film strip look. Super simple!

To embellish the layout I used the floral ephemera from the Whimsical collection. I found an unopened pack of these in my stash the other day and although I’ve never won the lottery, I imagine it feels just like finding a pack of floral die cuts that you didn’t know you had! I went to town clustering the florals around the cut file, photos, and in the top left-hand corner (which helped balance out the composition). I also found that cute camera die cut (which was from the Pick-Me-Up ephemera pack) and felt like it was the perfect finishing touch to this layout!
