Mini Album with Scalloped Edges by Audrey Mutschall

Hi everyone! Audrey Mutschall here with a new Design Team layout featuring Paige's Cut Files! For this project I used Paige's Mini Album with Scalloped Edges Cut File and cut each page twice in order to make pockets with the pages. By machine sewing the pages together on three sides and leaving the edge open, there is plenty of room for extra photos and inserts to be held inside.

I made this album for my mom who is an amazing quilter and crafter so I chose the Bungalow Lane collection which has lots of sewing-themed papers and embellishments so it's perfect for creating a mini album with a "maker and creator" theme!

I tried to incorporate as much hand-sewing on the pages as possible, so there are lots of little stitched details throughout the mini album. I used embroidery floss to sew little "X"'s on the star patterned paper, chain-stitched around some of the 2x2 Paper Pads, added stitching to the log-cabin quilt square, embroidered one of the quilt-patterned papers, and embellished Floral Die Cuts with hand stitching. All of this was done before the pages were machine-sewn into pockets and I've shown the extra inserts that I cut for each pocket as well. I included photos from a variety of projects my mom has made - quilts, paintings, little crocheted pumpkins, gnomes, doll beds, and even a table she refinished!

I hope this inspires you to create a mini album with Paige's beautiful Mini Album with Scalloped Edges Cut File and to add some hand-stitched details to your projects!
