The 6th of the 36 Cut Files for Stitching is a Home!
Design Team Member Heidi Lewis created this colorful page. She says, "As I was flipping through my Splendid papers looking for inspiration, I thought that the quilt background Paper 6 had a nice, homey vibe. To keep the layout from becoming too busy I used tone-on-tone stitching with coordinating DMC threads. The bright colors of the layout inspired me to use a picture of our hotel in Hawaii. I cropped my photo to the same size as the center rectangle. I repeated the tone-on-tone technique for my embellishments using a variety of embellishments from the Splendid collection including Chipboard Stickers, Floral Die Cuts, Cardstock Stickers, 8-Page Sticker Book, and Epoxy Stickers. The process of picking the right color and shape of sticker for each section is a bit like putting together a puzzle. I hope this layout demonstrates that this cut file can be used for travel pictures, just as easily as home pictures!"

She says, "Around the heart inside the Home I've done a whipped back stitch and also cut the middle of the heart off in order to attach the acrylic title. This detail is so cute, isn't it?
