Hello Love Layout by Phil Donahue

Hello scrappy friends! Phil Donahue here back with a fun and vibrant Barbie inspired layout using Paige's Splendid collection along with her Sunflower Background cut file! Although the cut file is labeled as 'sunflowers' I used them more so to reflect daisies allowing me to showcase cute photos of my niece showing off her pink and aqua Barbie dress with vintage logos!
To begin, I cut the Sunflower Background from white cardstock. I backed the petals of each using Paper 11 (orange), Paper 20 (aqua), Paper 23 (pink) and Paper 10 (green) and backed the bud of each flower with vellum. I found coordinating Distress Oxides in each color and splattered them over a white cardstock background. I love how all the colors look like confetti and add energy to the layout! After adding foam squares to the petals of the cut file, I cut it into two pieces. This allows the cut file to span the width of the 12x12 layout because this cut file was made for 8.5x11" layouts and I use a Cricut (which only spans 11.5") so this is a simple work-around! Next, I adhered the cut file to span edge-to-edge on the background and cut a 3x12" strip of Paper 3 to place over the separation of the cut file and anchor the series of four photos. Each photo was backed with the same patterned papers used to back the cut file and the title uses elements from the Epoxy Stickers. Final embellishments were sprinklings of Flower Charms, Heart Paper Clips, and bits from the Chipboard Stickers along with chipboard pieces in coordinating colors from my stash!
I hope you found some inspiration in the fun and vibrant layout and choose to try Paige's Sunflower Background cut file along with her Splendid collection! Thanks for stopping by and have a lovely day!
