Here's what we were up to in August 2025!
Chris turned 40! Kelly from work made him a delicious pie which I did partake of. It was scrumptious.
The last batch of baby birds flew the nest! There were 3. Then 2. Then 1.
We had 3 batches of baby birds this summer, not all had a happy ending, I hope next summer is much better.
I got some flowers from Home Depot for the front porch and to go into the front yard rocks.
I needed some new photos of Fox and Jane to scrapbook. Poor Sandy haha.
Jane was so patient and willing to change outfits and hairstyles to match pages made with Lovely Lane.
FOX STARTED HIGH SCHOOL!!!!!
Fox drew this in class. We are so freaking PROUD!
JANE GOT HER BRACES OFF!! WOOHOO!!!
Jane drew this during her art homeschool. Again, we are so freaking PROUD!!!
We went to a summer work party and got crushed in a game of bean bag toss.
Pre-season has begun!!! Broncos went 3-0. I know it doesn't mean anything, but Stidham rocked! I hope the Broncos win Super Bowl 60.
My brother and his family spent 6 weeks this summer in Europe and sent photos of some gummy candy in the family chat and I told them to get Fruity Bussi's and then these showed up in the mail a few days later from my dad which was sweet of him.
My friend went to Belgium and brought us home some Neuhaus chocolates, the best chocolates in the whole wide world. Just as good as we remember.
We tried a new to us burger place called Crown Burger with pastrami and it was YUMMY.
We finished watching all 4 seasons of Stranger Things. Fox & Jane LOVED it which makes me so happy. Thinking of watching Cobra Kai next but we'd have to watch all of the Karate Kid movies first to make it make sense.
Took me awhile to get into this book but then when I finished it on my flight to California I was almost in tears. Probably my 3rd or 4th favorite of his. The first by far is The Wish.
Got my hair done. Still working out, lifting heavy weights, trying to tone up like Heidi Swapp :)
I love getting my hair done because it lasts a whole week, A new spooky sweatshirt from Wild & Refined for our upcoming annual fall break trip to Disney.
We watched America's Team: The Gambler and His Cowboys which was fascinating. I sure am becoming a huge NFL nerd. Now we're watching The Kingdom which is a behind the scenes look at the Chiefs season last year.
We saw Nobody 2 which was entertaining. That's the only movie I had time to see this month. I just can't seem to catch up on all the things I need and want to do.

I always have to give kitty updates too, they are, afterall, my constant companions. When I go upstairs, they go upstairs.
When I go downstairs or my office, they go downstairs or follow me into my office. It's the best.
Purrrrfect Amy.
She just melts onto my lap every night, I love it soooooo much. And she always finds the tallest place to monitor her dominion.
What is Sandy doing lol.
She's got the sweetest face and oh my goodness if I could just be her for a day I'd be happy.
Always tempted to get a 3rd kitty.

Onto scrappy things! It was another cray cray busy month where I didn't get to create my own kit & class, hopefully next month!!

On August 2nd & 3rd 2025 Andrea Lake and I taught our 7th in-person event together called Lovely Lake Weekend here in Thornton, Colorado to 90 in-person attendees and about 40 virtual scrappers. Find the recap of this amazing event HERE.
After Lovely Lane Weekend I got right to work creating projects for my next in-person events.
First up: sneaks for She Loves Color hosted by Bella Blvd at the Brookfield Conference Center in Brookfield, WI. The event is sold out so you can join the waitlist by emailing info@bellablvd.net.
As I was printing instructions for my She Loves Color layouts, Amy tampered with the paper and when I pulled the paper out it broke my printer. My printer before this one also broke when I was printing SLC instructions for 2022! I'm cursed lol! And then as I was die cutting over 1000 pieces of cardstock for these various events, 3 of my 7 Cricut Explore Air 2 machines crapped out. I decided to try a Cricut Explore 4 and OMG it's sooooo fast! Literally over twice as fast. I bought 3. They were on sale for Labor Day Weekend. I'll probably get a 4th and hope these 4 will cut just as fast as 7.
Then I made an arrow mini album using Legendary for my in-person event that also took place in August at Frank Garcia Studio. You can purchase the class PDF HERE.
Then I created four 12x12 layouts using Lovely Lane for my second of three classes taught at Frank Garcia Studio. You can purchase the class PDF HERE.
Then I filled the Lovely Lane mini album for teaching at my 3rd class at Frank Garcia Studio. You can purchase the class PDF HERE.
The fourth weekend in August 2025 I taught 3 classes at Frank Garcia Studio in Upland, CA with 20 scrappers in each class! Find the recap HERE.
Somewhere between all that I made my Halloween 4x4 mini album class sample for teaching at the Crafting Through the Holidays event taking place in in Conroe, Texas October 8th -12th along with Vicki Boutin (she's teaching a Christmas album) & Layle Koncar (she's teaching a fall/autumn class)!! To register, go HERE and fill out the form then Cheri (the host) will get you signed up. I'm so excited for this event.
At Crafting Through the Holidays I'm also teaching this 4th of July mini album Make'n'Take! You don't want to miss out on this once in a lifetime event so be sure to go HERE and fill out the form to register! Only 10 spots left!!
A few hours after I got home from teaching in California I went live for a new Make With Me Monday.
I taught how to make a little square mini album and you can watch the replay HERE as well as all of my previous free Make With Me Monday lives in a playlist HERE.
I announced my next Design Team! Find all their handles on my post HERE. They've already started sharing projects and I'm so grateful to work with such talented and friendly people.
Since we didn't know which collection we'd end up using at our in-person Colorado event, we had a plan B and have now turned this into an upcoming virtual event: HAPPY HAVEN VIRTUAL WEEKEND.
I got all of the kits collated and boxed up.
Kits went up for sale on Friday August 22nd and sold out a week later. Thank you so so so so much scrappy friends. Your continued support and purchases means I can continue to create more kits & classes!!!
There's still time to sign up to join us virtually for HAPPY HAVEN VIRTUAL WEEKEND - find all the details HERE.
So next on the docket is wrapping up my projects for Crafting Through the Holidays and She Loves Color, hoping my Pinkfresh Studio order arrives this week or next to ship out pre-orders and get my kits for She Loves Color out the door, and then back to making new kits & classes!!! I have 3 different ideas for Christmas kits & classes... should I do all 3? One is a 6x8 album with a past Pinkfresh Studio Christmas collection, one is with the Hard Candy Christmas collection by Simple Stories with a custom ugly sweater sequin album by Gi DeMello (when she sent me a video of the sample I literally screamed out loud with delight!!), and the 3rd idea is another sequin album by Gi, 6x8 with a window on the cover, using my new Christmas collection with Pinkfresh Studio that hopefully gets announced this week or very soon?!? So many ideas, I just need 40 hours in my day to get it all done! Not scrappy related we have a lot of concerts and a Nate Bargatze show and other fun things planned for September! And I'm excited for fall, we're on the brink of Halloween and the holiday season :)

Whew! It all looked fabulous and fun :) I don't have half as much on the Calendar in a whole year, ha! You seem to have the stamina of 10. BTW, you're also look very fit! Bravo for all the workouts. The kitties are always a highlight for me. I see Amy all settled on your lap and get emotional. It's been a bit of a long road of recovery. We will get more kitties after a reno. Maybe a senior pair or one senior and one younger. Love kitties soooo much. ta ta for now lovely!
